chapter 9

Emma's POV

I got up and me and Hunter decided to go meet up with Maria and talk about the tour. I got up and took a quick shower. I got dressed in skinny jeans and a white tank top with a flannel over it. I blow dried my hair and straightened it. I did contour, eyeshadow, mascara and eyeliner. I brushed my teeth and put in a piece of hum after. I put on perfume and smiled at my appearance.

I walked out and grabbed my phone and right when I did Maria texted me.

Maria: hey I'm not gonna make it to meet up so I will email you all the stuff.

I groaned and didn't bother texted Hunter since he's probably already on his way. I grabbed my keys and left. I got in my car and drove to the park where we were supposed to meet. I parked across the street and i saw Hunter sitting at a table in the middle in the shade. I got out and locked my car. I walked across the street and Hunter waved at me with a big smile on his face.

"So where's maria?" He asked. I sat down across from him.

"She couldn't make it so she emailed me all the information. " i told him and he nodded.

"So when are you going back to Arizona? " i asked trying not to be rude.

"Actually me and brandon got apartments here so not for a while!" He said and i smiled.

"That's amazing! More time for us to hangout." I said and he nodded. I saw a familiar person walking our way and a wave of nervousness washed over me.

"Em..what's wrong? " Hunter asked.

"Hey emma." Issac Fisher said as he walked up to me with a smirk on his face. About a year after I moved here he tried to get with me. We dated for about a month but all he wanted was sex. So I broke up with him.

"What issac." I said and Hunter glared at him. It's like he already hates him.

"Don't be so rude Emma. Who's this little shank." He asked and hunters fist tightened.

"Just go away." I said trying not to start anything.

"How about me and you go back to my place." She said with a disgusting look.

"Just leave her alone. " Hunter said and stood up, they were the same height.

"So you can talk?" Issac said and pushed hunter backwards. I tried to go up to issac but he pushed me back and i fell.

"Don't touch her!" Hunter yelled and punched issac across the face. They started a full on fist fight. I was on the verge of tears as I saw hunter being beat up.

"Get off him!" I screamed and kicked issac and he clutching his stomach. I helped hunter up and we went to my car.

When we got home no one was there. I got out and helped him out as he was limping. He had a bloody nose and a black eye. His lip was cut and he just looked in pain. I opened the door and brought him into the bathroom. He leaned against the door as I got a wet washcloth. I dabbed his nose and lip and any other cuts.

"I'm so sorry." I said. He looked at me and and lightly pushed the washcloth away from his face.

"It's not your fault Em. He was being an ass to you. I had to do something. No one talks to my best friend like that." He said and I smiled. I kissed his cheek and finished wiping his face . The whole time he stared into my eyes and I felt myself blush.

"Done." I said and he smiled. He put a finger right under my chin and he hesitated at first, but he slowly moved and planted a soft kiss on my lips. And I kissed back.
