GUARDIANS

Chapter 1

"A-Are you serious " I stuttered as I stared wide eyed at Alec.

"Yup, I'm pretty sure I know where I've lived most of my life" said Alec chuckling. I've noticed Magnus doesn't talk much.

"Wait....why were there weird sparkles around my leg."I asked, as reality slowly seeped into me.

"That was magic, love."said Magnus opening his palms as sparkles of red shot through."...." I was frozen but not with fear, with amazement.

I just noticed that this is the first time I've heard Magnus speak. His voice was deep & husky, it didn't sound like it belonged to his body.

"What are you guys" I asked suddenly not as scared of them.

"We are Guardians!!", said Alec. I just started having no clue what was going on.

"Let me evaluate..."said Magnus and continued,"We are Guardians of humanity, meaning we protect humanity or humans. There are different kind of Guardians like, guardians that handle werewolves, vampires, down worlders (demons) and then we have guardians that live among the humans, they make sure everything is going smooth" concluded Magnus.

"Werewolf, vampires, down worlders....." I gulped, the fear creeping up my spine.
"Let me continue....So, as Magnus said we protect humanity and that means there must be things we protect it from. Vampires, Werewolves and Down worlders are just the beginnings of it we have fairies, goblins, warlocks and the worst of all, night crawlers."

"Wow." I said, I don't think about questioning it. Its a lot to take in all of a sudden.

"Boom" the door flew open and a boy wearing a leather jacket walked in, a girl trailing behind him pulling at his jacket trying her best to stop him.

"Please, stop.... She's hurt",you could hear the girl pleading.

I just sat in shock while the guy took long strides towards me, and in a fraction of a second I was pinned against the wall, a strong hand against my throat. Ready to choke me.

I clawed at the hand, screaming 'bloody murder', while crying in pain because of my leg. I was gasping for air as the others' voices got softer and quieter, till they all disappeared and darkness consumed me.............
