Prologue

~Zoey~

I was in a meadow. It had beautiful tropical looking flowers growing from the ground. The greenest and softest looking grass I had ever seen. I had to touch the grass, it was like a blanket I just wanted to wrap it around myself. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining and the sky was a radiating blue.

I saw a woman kneeling in the grass picking a flower. Immediately I knew it was Nyx. I silently walked over to her. She looked up at me and she was flawless. I will never get over her astounding beauty.

" Hello my daughter," She so gently, softly as if I was a piece of broken glass that could be broken.

" My goddess, what am I doing in this beautiful meadow?" I spoke with such fondness for my goddess.

" Zoey, I have brought you here I must speak with you." she spoke like there was this huge secret she's been keeping from me.

" About what?" I was very confused by this point.

" There is someone out there, Zoey, someone very special and gifted like you."

" There is someone else out there that has been chosen and marked by you also?"

" No, I did not choose her, someone else did."

" Nyx, who else can choose and gift people besides you? There is know one that I know of."

" My daughter give me time to explain."

Is my goddess hiding something from me? Why would she, I'm her one and only chosen one. Who else could there be?

" Zoey, I have a brother, he is a different form of creature than you and I. He is much more ruthless and pleasures in killing living things. He is, as you children say nowadays, a werewolf.

My head was spinning. Nyx had a brother and he was not a vampyre but a werewolf! I felt like I was going to faint!

" Nyx? Is he an immortal god just as you are an immortal goddess?"

" Yes, my daughter, he is. He is a beast though. His name is Andreas. He is not evil. Just cannot control the inner beast inside of him. You see Zoey he can mark and change his own werewolves or beasts. He has recently chosen and gifted a girl. Just as I have gifted you. She is very special."

I felt like I was going to puke everywhere. A gifted werewolf! But why is Nyx telling me this? She could've easily not told me and I wouldn't have done anything.

" My goddess, where do you and I come into this? Can't we just let Andreas pick and choose his children as he pleases just as you?" I spoke with such confusion.

" My daughter you must find her. I need her, you need her your circle needs her. She is very special. You must find the beast."
