Why come true?

Have you ever had one of those moments when you thought something like, when you glance at the school clock and then think "It's gonna ring...now!" and it did? Or even when you hear the phone ring, not looking at caller ID you know who it is and your right. Then all of a sudden when more come true, your like, "Damn, I must be physic!"

If you have, well, so have I. A lot.

It all started back when I was 13 1/2. It was a cool summer's day, the sun basking on your skin, your light sunscreen protecting the sun from burning your skin and the gentle light breeze that wasn't too humid, yet not too dry. It was just right. I was in my school's trackteam, just doing some practice laps with my fellow teammates, until I saw Sarah(also a member of the trackteam) chating with her friends and tossing her limp dark blonde hair left and right eyeing the football players play on the big field.

Sarah was one of those snooby, mean, middle school bitches. You know, the ones who always try to pick on a kid because of their looks, accessories or just the way they are. Ohhh what a classic. Anyways, I saw Sarah and I thought for about 3 seconds, Sarah starting to run trying to impress her boyfriend Tom, the runningback player, and then she slips on her bright red shoe lace from her white nike tennis shoes and falls on her ass. Haha I would be laughing my ass off, seeing her get a taste of what it's like to be humilated.

I did another lap, and Sarah I believe cut the field when Coach Roy wasn't looking.

"Hahaha..." Sarah and her other friends start to snicker

Ugh, hate those girls. I took a look back to see if there was any other girls behind me, and yeah there were a few.

Suddenly when I was about to make a full turn of my head, I heard,

"Oh shit!" from two of Sarah's friends who have their pale hands covering there huge "OMG" look on their faces.

Everyone who was running, stopped. Even me. I took a few steps to see Sarah face first on the trackfield with a small cut on her cream legs, one thin but long one on her cheek and dirt everywhere on her face. Her cream smooth legs also had dark dirt spread across it. Then when I looked at her shoes, her bright red shoelaces were lose.

To my surprise, I expected to laugh, but I didn't. I wanted everyone to giggle it off and talk about it in Homeroom and throughout the whole day, yet...I had a change of heart for her. Sure this might have not been the revenge I was hoping to have, but like this just didn't seem right.

The football team stopped playing when they saw most of the trackteam hudled up. It was so weird that no girl, or even Sarah's friends wanted to help.

"Baby, are you OK?" Tom shouts coming up to her.

He looks around at all the girls in disbelif, giving all of us that, "None of you guys didn't help her up?" look. His dark brown eyes slowly gazed upon all of us in shame, but once he saw mine, we locked eyes. I couldn't look him in the eyes, guilt surfaced me, it covered my whole body. I turned away.

He picks up Sarah and walks her over to the Main Office inside the left building.

Murmurs filled our team and it became quiet.

"Girls!" Coach Roy yelled across the field.

I guess he's done with whatever he was doing and didn't even see what happened.

"What's holdin' yew up?! Keep running!" He shouts with his boistrous voice. Like we were test subjects.

We all ran and continued our laps. Sarah crossed my mind again. I could see it now, her ignoring all her friends for not helping her when she comes back. Sarah being isolated from everyone yet the only one to console her and keep her company is Tom. Not even picking on the uncool kids which would always amuse her. Sarah, just not being that peppy, bitchy, Sarah.

It was the next day when we all saw her face again. There she was. The whole day she is alone, except in lunch she is with Tom. She must be deeply hurt that the people she thought who would always be there for her were gone. Everything I thought, became true, and stayed true for the next week.

In the end, Sarah got over her tripping and falling over her shoelace incident, forgave her friends for not caring about her, and still picks on the uncool kids.

Yet, this is not the only incident that came true. There is so much more. It seems as if when I pack all my wants and fears in my mind, and I see them clearly, they come true. I wonder though, if I dream bigger and better, will they come to life like these?

I wonder...
