Reality Of Fear:

You're not scared of the dark.

You're scared of what's in it

You're not afraid of heights.

You're afraid of falling

You're not afraid of people around you.

You're afraid of rejection

You're not afraid to love.

You're just afraid of not being loved back

You're not afraid to let go.

You're just afraid to accept the reality that he's gone

Your not afraid to try again.

You're just afraid of getting hurt for the same reason

Chapter 9

Brooklyn Rose's POV

So after wiping my chin from the drool that spilled from my mouth. He walked into the locker room to get changed. I was leaning against the wall when this guy came up to me.

"You are the sexiest thing my eyes have had the pleasure of feasting on today." he said in a cocky way.

I narrowed my eyes at him. He had player written all over him. I said nothing though.

"Ah, come on baby at least tell me your name? Or why your here in the first place. It's not my Birth Day but God saw it fit to send me a gift." He said taking a leisure look of my body from head to toe. Lingering at my breast that I must say look smoking because of the bustier.

"My eyes are here" I tell him as I point at my face. He smirks.

"To answer your question. I'm here for Tom." I tell him.

I see his eyes narrow in anger "For him, he's a loser. I'm more exciting. Ditch him and come with me." he tells me. Daring to put his hand on my arm.

I yanked it back. Tom came out in that instant. "What's going on here?" He asked.

"Seems your girl just saw what a real man looks like" He said smirking at him and looking back to me.

Tom looked at me in disbelief, so I smiled at him and turned to the jerk. "Yes Tom, I just saw what a real man looks like." I told him and I see the jerk's smile widen. Yeah, stupid I know what your thinking. Then I turn to see a hurt look on Tom's face and I fist my hands in his shirt and bring him down to my level and kiss the air out of his lungs.

I hear the jerk gasp in anger. We also hear his retreating foot steps. When I let him go we both just look at each other. "Man, I knew it would be like that with you." he whispers to me.

I'm still speechless and just keep looking at him.

He walks me out and we get in his car. We are both lost in our thoughts as we drive to the restaurant down town. Morton's Steak house, I love this place.

But the stupid bustier is laced so tight I don't think I can eat much. I was looking at him as he ordered . Man is he hunky, I'm getting scared now. I should not have kissed him. I said I would never fall in love again until I felt the same sparks like I felt for My dead fiancé.

But I didn't feel sparks when I kissed Tom. It was like the fireworks on the fourth of July going of in my body. Scary very scary.
