"GET OUT OF BED!" Teresa screamed as she hit Maria with her pillow. Maria groaned and turned away. Teresa got on Maria's bed and jumped on her.
"GET OUT OF BED!" Teresa yelled.
"Why? It's Saturday!" Maria said as she pushed Teresa off her bed. Teresa started crying as if someone was about to kill her.
"Quiet down you are going to wake up mom and dad." Maria said, but that just made Teresa cry even louder. Maria covered Teresa's mouth with a pillow. That caused Teresa to scream at the top of her lungs.
"Maria porque chilla tu hermana?!Maria why is your sister crying?!" Her mom questioned. Maria's parents were standing at the door looking disturbed.
"Me estaba despertando! Me pego con la almueda y estaba brincando encima de mi! She was waking me up! She hit me with the pillow and was jumping on me!" Maria said annoyingly.
"No me resonges Ana Maria de la Cruz! Don't talk back Ana Maria de la Cruz!" Maria's dad said. Maria just looked down.
"I'm sorry." She said shamefully. Her dad hust nodded and left. Her mom on the other hand, was getting Teresa to calm down. Maria just rolled her eyes and left. She went down to make her breakfast. Her dad kept talking about his new worker. He was an electrician and he had his own business, but it wasn't a major business. Maria just got some cereal and headed to the living room. Great! Maria just saw Teresa had the T.V. on. She was watching paw patrol. She rolled her eyes and headed to her room.

Hours later The family was off to the mall. They all went their separate ways. Mom was with Teresa looking at jewelry, dad was looking at suits and shoes, and Maria was looking at pretty much everything. She headed to starbucks to get herself a drink. As soon as she got there, she saw Mark. She tried to hide, but he had already spotted her. She pretended not to see him but, she could see him with the corner of her eye. He seemed nervous and worried. He stood there looking at Maria while she ordered her starbucks. When Maria had received her drink, Mark left in a dash. That was pretty peculiar, but Maria didn't seem to think about it.
"Maria?!" someone said. Maria stopped and turned around.
"Eduardo!" she said nervously. Maria had a crush on him in elementary. No wonder she was so nervous.
"Hey! How has life been?" he said with a warming smile. Maria could feel butterflies in her stomach. Could it be? Is she in love with him?
"Great! Great actually. I mean, I met new friends and life has been great." She said with a fake smile.
"Cool! You, you changed." Eduardo stated while observing her. Maria started to blush. She could feel hotness running through her face.
"Same to you!" Maria said with a smile. 'you're more cuter!' Maria thought.
"So wanna hang out some time?" Eduardo asked. Right when Maria was about to respond, someone called her.
"Maria!" Mark said as he ran to her.
"Ma-mark!" Maria said chuckling nervously.
"Hey! Who's this?" Mark asked.
"Eduardo." Eduardo introduced himself and held his hand out to Mark so, they could shake hands.
"Nice to meet you." Mark said in a ungrateful voice.
"So...can we Maria?" Eduardo said going back to the conversation.
"Oh...oh yeah!" Maria responded.
"Can I get your number? So we can plan out everything?" Eduardo asked in a cute way. Maria felt mixed emotions seeing both of her crushes there.
"Yea it's-" Maria started to give Eduardo her phone number.
"Okay then, see you soon." Eduardo said giving a salute and leaving. Maria nodded and squealed on the inside. Eduardo turned around "oh and, it was nice seeing you again." Eduardo said in a shy voice.
"It was nice seeing you too." Maria said smiling. She reached out to hug him. They hugged for a while which got Mark furious.
"Bye." Eduardo said.
"Bye." Maria responded.
"Hey, do you like him?" Mark asked turning Maria around so she would face him. Maria froze for a bit.
"No. Why are you asking?" Maria said casually.
"Well because you hugged him. You have never hugged me." Mark started to raise his voice. Maria got scared for a bit, thinking she could get hurt.
"So? You never ask for a hug and you always leave me." Maria sassed back. She turned away and walked. Mark grabbed Maria's wrist.
"Oh i'm not done with you yet." Mark spoke.
"Ow! Mark let me go! You're hurting me!" Maria yelled softly. Mark grabbe her and started heading to the escalators.
"Where are you taking me?!" Maria frantically said. Mark kept walking with her. In the distance, Eduardo saw how harshly Mark holded Maria. Eduardo got curious, but at the same time, he was mad. Eduardo trailed along to go see what's going on. Mark lead Maria outside the mall and to a stranded place.
"Mark!" Maria yelled, but Mark just kept pulling her. He then pushed Maria against the wall.
"Ow." Maria said weakly.
"You're mine and only mine." Mark stated. He put his hands on Maria's waist and pulled her into him. He then headed for the lips and kissed her passionately. Maria struggled to get him off her. Mark's hands started heading down to Maria's behind.
"Mark." Maria said trying to push him off. Mark ignored and started kissing her neck.
"Mark." Maria said again more frantically as Mark's lips kept heading down to her breasts. Maria started to tear up. Mark started to unbutton Maria's flannel.
"Stop!" Maria cried. Mark kept ignoring and reached down to unbutton Maria's jeans. Mark successfully unbuttoned Maria's flannel. He threw it on the floor but Maria catched it and covered herself with it
"Help! Someone! Please!" Maria hollered and sobbed. Eduardo heard the scream and yanked Mark from his shirt and punched him in the face. Mark got up, wiped the blood dripping from his nose and swung at Eduardo. Eduardo ducked and locked Mark's wrist. Mark started yelling in pain.
"You leave Maria alone you heard?" Eduardo furiously yelled.
"Okay, okay!" Mark responded painfully.
"Just let me go!" Mark said trying to get Eduardo off him. Eduardo let go and pushed Mark. Mark almost tripped, but he left running. Maria was crying still covering herself with her flannel. Eduardo approached her.
"You okay?" he asked trying to comfort her. Maria kept crying. Eduardo hugged her and took her flannel away from her. He fixed it to put it on her. 'She's got nice breasts' Eduardo thought. He buttoned her flannel and jeans for her. He then hugged her and kissed her forehead.
"Come on." Eduardo wrapped his arms around her.
