« - What was that!? shouted Kristen.

- No wait, shut up for a second! It might be Molly who is calling us. said Madison who was trying to comfort her friend.

- You're kidding me? Cause that's not funny. I'm sure it's something else! It looked like a grunt.

The two women were slowly progressing. The stress was increasing. They were trying to keep calm but the atmosphere was oppressing them. It was dark down there and the light of a single flashlight wasn't enough. Then the strange voice was heard once again, but this time a bit louder. Kristen and Madison knew: There was something alive in this tomb and they were approaching it.

The two women were blundering into this tunnel, touching the walls to avoid falling. The voice resounded one more time during few seconds. They were heading straight. Madison was violently shaking, she was terrified inside. She turned back to check if Kristen was alright when she heard another sound, but more discrete. The more they were walking to the tunnel's end, the more the noise was becoming deafening. Madison illuminated the walls around her, in the search of the noise's source. A long ants' line was going out of a crack in the wall and was joining another crack in the ceiling. Kristen closely looked at the ants and released a suffocated shout.

" - What's wrong Kristen? Stop it, you're scaring me...

- It's... It's gun's bullet's ants... They are extremely dangerous. A simple bite of these is like getting shot by a gun!

- WHAT!? But how are we supposed to get out of it!? We're trapped! whispered Madison.

- Give me the flashlight, I'm going to light their path, they won't see anything and we'll be able to circulate safely."

They finally reached the tunnel's end and continued their way through Tutankhamun's tomb. They were sinking more and more in the earth's entrails when Madison lost her balance and found herself on the last step of a long stair.

"- Madison! Are you ok? Are you hurt? shouted Kristen from the top of the stairs.

- Yeah! I'm ok, don't worry, just a little back ache! Be careful, there's stairs here!"

Kristen joined Madison and helped her to stand up. Then the ground began to shake and the ceiling started to crack. Few rocks fell on the sanded ground. Madison took Kristen's hand and ran as fast as she could. They finally reached a silent and immobile room, Kristen's heart was pounding and Madison was loudly sobbing.

"- Kristen we're done... It's the end, we're going to die...

- Mady, look at me. WE ARE NOT GOING TO DIE, ok? We're strong, we're going to survive and discover the thing which all the archaeologists dream of.

- You're right. C'mon, let's go!"

The sand was squeaking under their steps, the flashlight blinked and suddenly went out. Madison feverishly searched the other torch in her backpack. The darkness was slowly embracing them when rushed steps arrived behind them.
