"The first thing you four need to know is how to lance with your swords." Randall and Greg looked at each other as if they both had just won the lottery. I guess they forgot that to fight a demon army we needed to have weapons. "First, make sure you have your sword, and jump off of somewhere high. Could you all please follow me to the roof?" I wondered why we would be going to the roof if we needed to jump off a high area. Our school is only two stories, and that isn't exactly high enough to be able to gain enough speed to stab a demon. We followed the two up the stairs, still unsure what we would be doing. " You younglings must be wondering why we are on this roof. Yes, I understand it isn't that high of a place. This is not our starting point. It is the Church." We looked behind ourselves and looked at it. I never realized how tall it actually was until now. " You mean we are jumping off the top of the Church? That actually makes a lot more sense than this" I said. "Okay, so we fly to the top and jump off, right?" Miguel added. "Yes, you will jump off, but you will not be flying up there. To help train you better for the conditions you will be in, you need to first be accustomed to climbing and problem solving. We will meet you at the top!" "Wait!"shouted Greg. "What do you mean we can't fly?!" We obviously all still had out wings attached, so we just thought they had misspoken and flew across. I was flying up until I started feeling heavier.

I looked at my suit, and it was fading away! "Wait! Guys! The suits are disappearing!" Everyone looked down and realized what was happening. We knew it would be too late before we could get to the ground, and bursted forward to the Church. I was confident I would make it, until all of  my armor vanished. This can't be good. I started falling, along with my friends. We all screamed cries for help as we were sent plummeting into the side of the Church. Our two angel commanders stared at us, as if it was normal for their students to be possibly falling to their deaths. I closed my eyes and ducked into my legs, ready for impact. Before I hit the Church, I checked to see my friends safe and sound on the flat part of the roof above me. I remembered how my armor had blocked me from hitting the cafeteria wall, and calmed down. I hit the roof, and opened my eyes. No bones were broken, all my limbs were still attached, and I saw my friends staring at me with smiles. Those smiles quickly turned to scared faces. "Dude! you're  slipping! I looked in front of me and saw that I was ,indeed, slipping. I tried to get to my feet, but fell. I neared the edge of the roof by a few more inches, even more desperate to get up and get somewhere where I could maintain balance. I stumbled and squirmed, trying to get to my feet.

I couldn't manage to stand, and decided to look for anything I could hold onto. I saw a piece of the storm drain that had broken off of the rest of the drain, and knew it was either that or falling again. I knew I wouldn't be hurt if I did fall, but I felt more like proving I could save the world than having to run up the stairs again, which would let the red tornado get closer, thus putting more of the people in my area at risk. I breathed in deep, and jumped off of the roof. I grabbed onto the pipe, which wasn't sturdy at all. I figured it had been broken for a while and had gone stiff, but it began to fall and bend with my weight. I am not a gymnast, but I figured I could find somewhere to swing to before my pipe broke. I saw the other end of the drain a few feet away from me, and for the second time, took a leap of faith. The pipe broke after my swing, and I latched onto the storm drain. I climbed up onto the flat part of the roof, and laid there. I looked at my friends who had been watching my whole stunt, laughing and congratulating me. I was very exhausted from the stress of not plummeting to onto the cement, but knew this was only half the battle. I stood up and made my way over to my group.
