Sypher's POV

Oh my gods. He really did it. He blinded me. Blind. I'll never get to see the pyramids, the ocean, and now I can't watch Sleepy Hollow on TV. Damn bastard. 

'Try escaping now, kid. " Ricky jeers, grabbing me and yanking me out of the van. 

"Where are we? Why are you doing this? " I ask, too shocked to struggle much- besides, I can't get anywhere on my own. 

" Alaska. You and the other kids are gonna stay here in this house till we get back. And if ya try and escape, ya won't last long. The forty days of darkness start tommorow, not that you'll know the difference. Now, stay put!"  Ricky snaps , tossing me into what I think is a hallway; the walls are too close for it to be a room. I hear him walk away, and I allow myself a sigh of relief. 

Niall's POV

I like her. Oh, who am I kidding? I'm in love with her. Allie's just so beautiful, and funny, and bloody brave , too. 

There's voices in the hallway, and one sounds really familiar. Allie instintly smiles, hope in her amazing blue eyes. 

"Sypher!" She squeals, and within seconds, she's wrenched the door open and is out in the hallway. I follow her, as the other boys are still sleepiung and Adelita's caught up with staring at Harry. 

"Sypher! Oh my gods, I thought I'd never see you...' Allie's voice fades out completely when we reach him. His eyes.... they're an entirely new type of blue. They remind me of that blind girl on Avatar. The skin around his eyes is burned red, and it looks painful. 

"Allie? Where... where are you? " Sypher asks in a small, scared voice. 

"Oh, Sly cat, I'm so sorry...." Allie says, but her twin laughs.

"Sorry? I get to be Daredevil now. " He says. 

"Sy, I'm right here. Right in front of you. Can't... can't you see me? " Allie whispers, but I know she already knows the answer. 

"Lex.... Ricky...he... chemicals.... I ...I... everything's...... dark.... so dark..." Sypher mutters, sounding like a child expecting to be punished.
