~Jazmine's P.O.V.~
I awake with the strongest headache I've ever had. Everything is so blurry and out of focus. I try to grab my head, when I realize I'm in chains. I'm immediately filled with uneasiness. Try to contact Jade but I get no response.
Where am I? Where is Jade? Where is Nick? Where are my pups? Who put me here?
The questions begin coming to my mind faster than I can stop them.
Does he have my pups? Are they safe?
The thought alone is enough to bring tears to my eyes. I somehow gain my composure and begin focusing on my surroundings. I immediately notice that I've been changed. I'm now in a black, silk nightgown.
These basterds undressed me!?!?!?
The thought of them touching me makes my skin crawl in disgust. I calm myself down and focus on the room that I'm being held in. I see that I'm in a glorified dungeon. There's a bed, but I'm being restrained on a stone wall. The chains are metal, not that it affects me, but I can't break the chains for some reason.
There's candles everywhere giving the room this ominous look. I hear feet shuffling around outside, but nobody ever stops outside my door. I try to shift, but to no avail.
What have they done to me?
~Nick's P.O.V.~
It's been a week since the war, and we're finally done getting rid of the bodies. Now there's the matter to deal with the witches. Since Jonathan and Selene are mated I gave him my pack to run. Many of the witches found their mates during the battle.
Since Selene is the ruler of the witches, and I'm Jazmine's mate, we discuss the fate of our kind. Ultimately we came to the agreement to let the witches join the packs of their mates, and the remaining witches picked packs in order to stay together. We would have an elder witch in each pack to teach the younger generation how to control their powers. Everything really goes by in such a blur. I find myself really focusing so hard on pack business to stop thinking of her, but she forever stays on my mind.
"Nick are you listening to me?" I see Jonathan waving his hands in my face, snapping me out of my thoughts of Jazmine.
"No I wasn't listening. I have a lot of stuff to deal with Jonathan so if someone isn't dying please leave my office." I try to get rid of him.
"You need to take the time to grieve Nick. Holding everything in isn't good for you man you gotta let it out." He tries to console me.
"Grieve what Jonathan? I have no body to mourn over. I don't know where she is? I don't what happened to her?" I scream at him.
"I know bro, but avoiding it isn't going to make it any better." He's trying to make it better, but he isn't helping.
"Oh yeah, well what is talking about it going to solve?!?! She's still not here!!! All I can think about is her!!! Is she ok? Is she alive? Is she being tortured? Everytime I close my eyes I see her broken and battered body. Every night the nightmare gets worse than the one before. I can't even look at our pups without thinking of her. I can't take thinking about her man it's killing me." I say finally breaking down.
He just hugs me and let's me cry for what felt like hours. Eventually he leaves my side to be with his mate and their pups. I sit in my office crying until there are no more tears.
I decide it's time to do something I've been dreading. I walk to my pups room and I find myself staring at the door. I haven't seen them since a week ago when they were born. I've caught glimpses of them with Jazmine's parents, but I haven't seen them.
