The Unpleasant Reunion

Earth finally came in our sights.  Lockdown went through the atmosphere at a steady speed but it was still rough getting through it.  There was lightning and gray clouds all around.  Once we got out of the clouds, I got up and gasped.  There was a giant citadel standing where the autobot base once stood. Lockdown did not look surprised.  He landed a couple of miles from the citadel and opened the door.  I stepped out and started walking.  I noticed he didn't follow so I turned around.  

"This is your mess, not mine,"he shook his head,"Call me when you're done." 

I nodded,"I understand." 

I transformed and drove until I found the autobots.  They were waiting near the citadel to start an attack and had a new team member: Ultra Magnus.  They lacked one autobot though.  I thought to myself about the reasons why Optimus was not amongst them.  Something inside me kept me from wanting to ask.  The answer could make me feel guilt for something that I could have helped them avoid.  Besides, with the way Arcee was looking at me, I could guess what happened here.  

"We need to somehow infiltrate the citadel, but we don't have Optimus,"Ultra Magnus started,"This is why we need you, Nova.  We need your help defeating Megatron.  I have a feeling that we can count on you.  Or, at least I hope we can."

I replied,"I understand." 

The same words came from me in a monotonous way every time they wanted me to acknowledge.  I was dreading my mission.  I had to stop Megatron.  I wondered how I could do it without killing him.  I wished I could just convince him to stop!  But he wouldn't and now the autobots wanted me to help bring his demise.  

"Nova?"Ultra Magnus asked,"Are you listening or are you just saying 'I understand'." 

"Sorry?"I shook my head and tried to focus.  

Ultra Magnus sighed,"Okay, now that I have your attention, I can warn you about Shockwave."

My optics widened and twitched slightly,"Do what now?"

He nodded.  I had heard of the power of this decepticon.  I thought he had been dead!  Lockdown had been sent to kill him a couple of times, but Shockwave either left before he got there or overpowered him and got away.  He loved to use his experiments to get him out of trouble when Lockdown was after him.  I never had to face him, so I was slightly excited for this challenge!  A grin came across my face,"Well, I would like to meet him."  

My wish came true.  He came all the way down from the top to "greet" us,"It is most illogical to fight."

"We'll take care of this one,"Bulkhead said clenching his fists.  I held up my fist and Shockwave started floating. 

"I'll buy myself some time,"I said as I slammed him to the ground.  I jumped on him for good measure and boosted myself up.  I used my new jet pack to get up to the top and once I got there, I almost screamed!  THERE WAS A GIANT METAL DRAGON!  SITTING RIGHT THERE!  I got ready to send a lethal shock in case it tried to eat me.  Vehicons surrounded me and Megatron came around.

"Good Predaking!" The giant metal dragon laid down but kept its eye on me.  I still kept my defensive position.  Megatron rolled his optics and scowled.  I glared at all of them and stood up straight.  I had to be assertive.  I would not let my emotions take over.  What was once there was gone.  

"Welcome to my new base, Nova,"Megatron smirked,"did you come back to be put in your place?"  

"Yup!"I made myself look as happy as I could so I would bleed sarcasm instead of energon.  Megatron went back to scowling,"I see you guys upgraded your base!  I guess the ship wasn't gloomy enough!" 

I earned a smack to the face with that last remark!  I didn't care.  It felt good to me.  I smiled and looked up at him,"That's your worst?" 

"I guess you haven't realized the full extent of your mistake.  Take a look around you!  The autobots have lost!  Optimus Prime is dead!  Soon, we'll have this planet." 

"You're lying!"I screamed!  He had to be lying!  Optimus could not be dead!  It would explain why he was not with the autobots. 

"Look for yourself,"he gestured to a screen that came up with a picture of just part of Prime's arm sticking up out of the debris.  

The feeling in my legs left and I dropped to my knees,"What have I done?"  For the first time, everything started to truly sink in.  If I hadn't messed up, if I had kept my guard up, if I had stayed... maybe he wouldn't have died.  Their leader and their hope were gone!  

"I may spare you from a similar fate, if-" 

"If I what?"my courage came back and I stood up slowly,"Swear my loyalties to the decepticons, tell you where the autobots are hiding now, become your personal punching bag?  Starscream was pretty good at that!" 

"SILENCE!"he bellowed.  I concentrated and grouped the vehicons together and slammed them onto him.  I was about to put more pressure to finish him before I had any second thoughts, but the predacon swiped at me and knocked me over.  I groaned as I felt a giant claw pin me onto the ground,"Nice try, Nova,"Megatron laughed as he pulled himself from the vehicon pile.  

I tried to find a weak point in the predacon's claw but to no avail.  He only clamped down harder.  I got one arm free and tried to reach for a vehicon's weapon but Megatron crushed it.  I pounded at the ground and screamed,"You're not going to get away with this!!  The autobots will stop at nothing to end this war!" 

He laughed,"Shockwave is taking care of them right as we speak!  Soon they will be dead and this planet will be ours!"  

I charged up and shocked the predacon.  It staggered back and shook it's claw.  I pulled out my new and improved ax and swung it at Megatron. I saw Predaking come into my peripheral vision and tried to block the blow as good as I could. I took a bad hit to my side and my ax went over the edge, but that did not mean I couldn't charge up one more time! I closed my optics and clenched my servos.

Nothing happened.  I opened my optics and watched as the decepticons that cringed slowly realize that they were not going to get shocked.  My energy had been depleted and the wound in my side was preventing it from regenerating.  I tried to concentrate and kill them that way, but again nothing happened.  Megatron smirked,"Well, now that it is operational, it seems that Shockwave's device really does work on your kind!  However, I'm willing to take a prisoner in.  You're lucky I'm feeling merciful today!" 

I grimaced and held my hands up in surrender.  So, I thought, this is how it will be. 

HAAIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!  I tried to update this with the new app on my new phone BUT it is wonky! D: It needs work! TT______TT So I'm using my not so new laptop!  Anyhoo, I was gonna say sorry bc of work and me starting school early and how I tend to be a grammar nazi on my own work (even in my previous chapters I find mistakes and it bugs me O_o) so I gotta look over it ten thousand times to make sure it is perfect! :D  AND THEN I FIND MISTAKES AND THEN I GO GRRR!!!!1! D:< But the beauty of Wattpad is that there are not very many grammar nazis and so I don't feel as bad about it ^-^ if there are, feel free to point out stuff that bugs you so I can fix it!  It bugs me toooo!! :,\  I wuv you guys! *thumbs up*
