Mungojerrie smiled at Rumpleteazer. There was something odd and familiar about her, like he's know her forever. He just can't put his finger on it.
"So, how's life under the porch?" Teazer said, breaking the silence.
"Oh. It's you know..same old same old." His stomach growled loudly.
"Are you hungry, Mungo? I have some food back at my place. We can get some."
"Yeah. That'd be really great."
They turned and ran off to Teazer's den. It was inside an old abandoned human building. She didn't mind much. She had a whole room to herself. As soon as they walked in, she went to a box and grabbed a can of tuna and kicked it over to Jerrie.
"There you go. Eat as many as you'd like" she said while walking over to a pile of blankets in the corner.
"Thanks, kid." He opened the can and almost immediately gulped down the salty fish. He smiled a little bit when he looked over at the sprawled out queen lying in the blankets. She looked comfortable until a loud crash of thunder was heard. She jumped up and looked around, terrified. She backed up into the corner and hid her face under the blankets.
"Whoa, teaze.. It's just thunder. Just a storm. It's alright."
"I-I don't like the storms. I never have. Ever since I was a kitten" her voice was shaky and nervous. Mungojerrie walked over to her and put a law on her gently.
"It's going to be okay. I'm here now. I'll protect you." This was weird to him. He barely even knew this cat and now he's staying in her den, eating her food and protecting her! Everything was happening too fast, but he didn't necessarily mind. Jerrie walked over to the scared queen and laid next to her. He wrapped his arm around her and she cuddled up into him, burying her head in his chest fur. Slowly falling asleep.

Teazer woke up close to her friend. She looked up at him and smiles. He was still asleep and his breathing was soft and eyes were moving under her eyelids. She felt so safe and comforted. Teazer moved closer to the tom and sighs contently. They stayed like that until there was a loud bang on the door. Mungojerrie jumped up and stood in front of Teazer to protect her from whatever was on the other side of the door. He crept over and opened the door. A big black and white tom cat was at the door with a sack of Everlasting knows what. He threw it inside and it slid to Teazer, who ran toward it and opened it to find pearls, grouse, and more cans of tuna. She smiled and pulled out two cans and slid them both to Jerrie. "THANKS ALONZO!!!" She called after the tom who was walking away.
