29. What The Bottle Held

When it was early afternoon, the guys took me to the hospital like we agreed on last night. I really hope nothing is wrong with me. Although it was weird I don't think anything was wrong. I brought along the bottle of water Yewon gave me in case I needed to drink it. We took a truck they had to carry everyone to the hospital. Jinki drove with Minho in the front. I sat with Taemin and Key in the middle seats as Jonghyun sat behind us.
"What's that Ari?" Jonghyun asked peeking over my shoulder.
"Oh. Yewon gave it to me as a gift. She said it's supposed to be good for pregancy." I explained.
"Yewon huh? Lemme see." I handed him the bottle as he inspected it.
"There's no label or anything on it."
"I know. I have no idea where she got it." I admitted.
He shrugged his shoulders and handed it back to me.

When we arrived to the hospital I was shown to a doctor within 5 minutes.
"Alright." The doctor said showing up.
"What's wrong Miss Ari?"
"Yesterday I had a burning pain in my stomach."
"Around where the baby is?" He asked.
"Yes. Could you please check to make sure everything is alright?" I asked worried.
"Sure just lay down."
"Ari we're gonna go get some snacks and be back with some later." Jonghyun said leaving with everyone excluding Taemin who stayed with me.
The doctor checked me thoroughly and then asked me some questions leading us nowhere.
"Have you eaten or drank anything new lately?" He suddenly asked me.
"Oh. Um actually someone I know gave me this." I said handing him the bottle.
"She said it's special water to promote healthy pregancy."
The doctor took the bottle and inspected it.
"This 'water' has bubbles." He said.
"I believe it's sparkling water."
He opened it and smelled it.
"Smells a bit off actually. Do you mind if I have this tested?"
"Umm sure." I agreed.
He left with the bottle leaving me and Taemin alone.

"Taemin ah, I'm sorry."
Taemin stopped pacing around the room and looked at me.
"Why are you sorry?"
"Cause I'm causing you so much worry."
He just scoffed and smiled at me genuinely. He came up to me and held my hand.
"It's okay. I'm just worried because...that's my baby..." He said softly rubbing my hand with his thumb.
"I hope he's okay. We only have a few more months left so I want this is be alright." He said.
"I know. I'm a little scared actually." I admitted.
"Let's just hope and pray okay?" He kissed my cheek and smiled.

Finally the doctor came back with an unexplainable expression. It scared me and I was afraid of something he may have found.
"Miss Ari, do you know what you were drinking?" He asked.
"Huh!? It's not water!?" I yelled suddenly.
"I'm afraid not. It's Vodka."
...
I froze and my heart jumped 60 feet. I've been drinking alcohol with my baby for over a month...everyday.
"Oh my god..." I whispered.
Taemin put his face in his hands and exhaled deeply.
"I don't know why this person would give you Vodka. But we insist to give you a room and look over you for a few days to secure the health of the baby."
"Thank you."
"I'll be back in a moment." He said before leaving again.
After a few silent moments Taemin slammed his fist into the wall.
"Fucking Yewon!" He yelled but whispered all at once.
"I knew not to trust her! She's been after you all this time!" He said angrily.
I couldn't help but feel guilty. I accepted the gift and convinced Taemin nothing was wrong. But this is all my fault. For trusting a lier.
"Taemin." I called him as I walked up to him.
"Mianhae." I said almost crying.
"If I hadn't accepted the gift and thought she was just being nice then this wouldn't have happened. I'm sorry...." I slowly began crying with every word.
"Hey hey..." He cradled me in his arms.
"Stop that. You're fine okay? Nothing is your fault."
"But I-"
"Enough." He stopped me.
"Not another word. It'll be okay." He said hugging me comfortably. His arms wrapped perfectly around my body and I snuggled into his chest feeling like I  perfectly in his embrace.

I was shown to a room and Taemin followed. He called Jonghyun telling him where we were.
"Hey!" Key yelled comming through the door with everyone looking worried.
"What happened?"
I explained to them what happened with the Vodka.
"Yewon!? That jealous home wrecker!" Kibum yelled angry.
"Wow she's really done something evil." Jinki agreed.
"Will you be okay? How long will you stay?" Minho asked.
"Idunno. I may be here a while.
While we all talked I noticed Jonghyun sitting alone on the verge of tears. I got up from my bed and walked to him.
"Yah Kim Jonghyun. What's wrong huh?" I asked hugging his head in my chest.
"This is because of me..." He sobbed.
"What? What are you talking about?" I asked and everyone turned to us capturing an interest.
"I'm the one who told Yewon where you lived. If I hadn't then she wouldn't have ever given you the Vodka."
"Hey stop it okay? It's my fault for even taking it and trusting her." I blamed myself again even thought Taemin told me not to.
"You're fine." He looked up at me and I smiled at him.
"This has nothing to do with you. Don't worry."
He slowly wiped his face and regained his posture.
Suddenly my stomach started to burn again. Only 50x worse. I yelled in pain and fell to the floor scrunching my fingers and closing my eyes.
"Ari!? Ari what's wrong huh??" I heard Taemin call me but I couldn't answer. I just yelled some more.
"Someone help!! We need someone now!!" Minho yelled for help outside in the hall.
In a second nurses came and hauled me away to another room. I felt bad. Everyone was left behind with no answers to what was happening. But I didn't know either. What was gonna happen now? Will my baby be okay?
