"Muuuuum are you ready yet? SERIOUSLY. I've been standing here for at least an hour while you have been doing your makeup, dressing and getting ready for MY Formal."

"Sweetie..."

"ughh, don't call me that.."

"I need to look good in front of your friends though. At least that is what you said."

"Grrrrr. MUM YOU DON'T get it. YOU are Not supposed to embarrass me in front of every one. Especially by saying SWEETIE." I replied in a huff since I had fifteen minutes until it started.

I got into the four wheel drive and made sure my dress wasn't in the way.

"Mum, Hurry up or I'm going to be late."

"Okay, calm down I'm coming."

I watched her roam around the garden like a snail and saw her finally getting in to the car.

Everything went smoothly until all of a sudden she started accelerating.

"Mum! Slow down." She arrogantly ignored me.

"You said for me to drive fast. So now... I will."

And with saying that last word...

We crashed...

I couldn't sleep, eat, move. I could only cry.

I cried into my arms feeling all of the commotion of sirens and trucks surrounding me.

"What was going on!?" I wanted to scream out.

But. I. Couldn't.

I blinked slowly opening my eyes. "My formal! I'm gonna miss it. Oh my g-

"Excuse me miss.."

I felt a nurse brush me. But what was going on?? Why can't I hear.. I slowly got up and winced at the pain rushing through my thigh. I backed down and nodded off to sleep.

Confusion formed inside my brain. Wait. Someone is here. Standing right in front of me. MUM MUM MUM.

"Mum!!!" I called out to her but all she did was smile and wave back.

Tears formed in my eyes and soon enough giant waterfalls were sliding down my cheeks calming my burning skin.

"Shhh it's alright. Your mum is in surgery. She will be fine."

I struggled to get up. Fluttering my eyelids.

"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!!!!! TAKE ME TO MY MUM."

"I'm very sorry dear but we ca-

"I DON'T care. She is my one and only mo-

Something puzzled me as I lifted my hand up to my ear. As I shouted, my hearing descended.

"Yes dear." She said to me as if she was reading my mind.

"You could have died. But you were very lucky to be able to hear as well."
