(sorry this is just some background information, I hope it's not too boring)
Ever since what people call the beginning of time, two groups of living beings have existed: the creatures and the superiors. The creatures have constantly lived under the power and influence of the superiors. The creatures did little other than eat and sleep and stay alive. Some types of creatures were born smarter or stronger or faster, and we're above the rest. The creatures that resided at the top of this hierarchy referred to the superiors as their masters.
The superiors were more intelligent than the creatures, and sometimes stronger as well. The lords were regarded as the highest beings - the smartest and strongest. Below them existed the strong werewolves and intelligent vampires who constantly fought to be the more powerful group. At the end of the bloodshed, the vampires won. Although immature or hateful werewolves would occasionally fight with the equally disdainful vampires, they generally existed in peace.
At the very bottom of the pyramid of superiors were the humans. They were more intelligent than the creatures and even some werewolves, sure, but not like the lords or vampires. And the humans were weak. They were slow and couldn't lift any weight. They died easily. If not for the lords' protection, they would of been wiped out by the vampires and werewolves who looked down on them. But, nonetheless, they were still superiors and not creatures because of their ability to adapt and change. The great number of humans existed together, and lived with love, friendship, and kindness, but also greed, hatred, and fighting.
All these groups existed together for a long time, until the weakest humans pushed the rest of the superiors and the more intelligent creatures into hiding. And the humans became the sole superior, the master.
