-the next day-

I sluggishly made my way to work, regretting every step. I didn't want to have to face Harry. I clocked in, got ready, and came out, deciding to focus only on the customers. Much to my annoyance, there weren't any. This was probably the slowest work day I've ever had.

Harry ran in almost five minutes late, looking rushed but still ho- No Selina! stop it!

He clocked in, the rushed out of the back.

"Sorry. Did I miss anything?" he asked. I shook my head.

"Oh, okay.." he trailed off.

We remained in an awkward silence for a while. It was so uncomfortable, I was just praying that someone would come in.

To my surprise, Harry grabbed me by the shoulders, spun me around and made me look at him.

"What?!" I asked.

"What's wrong with you?! what happened and why are you acting so weird all of the sudden?!" he demanded. It surprised me, to be honest. I was definitely caught off guard.

"Nothing." I said, releasing myself from his grip. He gave me a skeptical look. I returned it.

"Tell me what happened!" he said, obviously aggravated. I couldn't tell him that I was mad that he didn't like me. That's stupid and childish.

"I'm fine, Harry." I replied shortly.

"No you're not. Would you just tell me what's bothering you?!"

"I'm. Fine." I answered.

"Fine. Don't tell me, I don't care. I just think I could make it better if you said something." He said.

"Okay, Harry." I said, biting my tongue. I wanted to say do much more, but I couldn't. It's his life.

"Ugh. You're so stubborn." He scoffed.

"That's me." I replied.

-ding-

A customer walked in, thank goodness. That conversation was getting really old really quickly.

"Hi, how can I help you?" I asked, fake happiness dripping from my words.

"I just need a dozen chocolate chip cookies." The woman said.

"Harry, could you get those?" I asked, turning to the cash register to start ringing them up. I was quite irritated at his response.

"I'm fine."

I glared at him. "You're kidding." He just stared back at me.

"Get. The. Cookies." I ordered.

"I'm. Fine." He replied.

I sent him The Death Glare, then grabbed a box, filling it with the cookies myself. I returned to the register. The lady payed for the cookies, then left hurriedly. I'm sure we scared her off.

"You are such a child, you know that?!" I snapped as soon as we were alone.

"Me?! I just wanna know what's bothering you!" he replied.

"I can't tell you! you wouldn't understand!" I yelled.

"Why wouldn't I?! I'm trying to help!" he yelled back.

"I know, but just stop! its not helping!"

"HOW CAN I HELP THEN?!" he raised his voice, making me jump.

"I DON'T KNOW! JUST STOP, PLEASE!" I returned.

"Fine! don't tell me anything. II'll just return the favor!" he said.

"Believe me Harry, I want to tell you. I just can't. You wouldn't know what to do!" I said.

"Whatever, Selina. I just think you don't trust me enough." He rolled his eyes.

"That's not true! think what you want, but I never said that." I responded.

"You implied it."

"Knock it off." I said. He just looked at me, then went in the back.

I rested my head in my hands. This whole situation sucked. Ugh I just want him to know, but I don't wan him to think I'm immature or creepy or controlling! and I don't want to fight with him, but he's so difficult! GAH STUPID HORMONES.

the rest of the shift continued like that, either separated in silence, or arguing. We didn't even tell each other goodbye when we left for home.

I fell asleep that night not knowing if I had lost a dear friend or not.

I sure hope not.
