His breathing was slow and soft. He seemed to have lost the fire in his eyes that I loved so much. His skin was pale and he was becoming colder by the second. He was fading away and there was nothing I could do to help him. It's my fault. I shouldn't have met him. I shouldn't have fallen in love. Maybe then, he would be allowed to live.

"It's okay, I'm glad I could finally tell you the way I felt," he whispered kindly with the little strength he had left. A smile formed on his lips as he wiped the tears off my face.
"As long as you remember me, I'll always exist in your heart." With those final parting words, he disappeared into thin air and I was left crying, begging for him to come back to me.

"There's been a rumour going around that vampires were to blame for the recent cases of strange and mysterious deaths across the world. The victims were reported to have been found with strange markings on their necks and there seemed to be no sign of struggle or resistance. It was almost as if the victims were willingly killed. After all, vampires were known to be sexually attractive, making it easy for them to prey on shallow humans."

At least, that's what I've heard. Although, I think it's all bullshit because, vampires? That's just stupid. There's no way they could be real. I mean, I'm a huge geek. I'm obsessed with anime and I would love it if vampires were real because I could coincidentally bump into one and then we'll look into each other's eyes and fall hopelessly in love but it's simply not possible.

My classmates are all talking about it and they all seem to have mixed opinions about it; some are like me, saying that vampires couldn't possibly exist but there are also some going around and saying they've personally met a vampire (probably to get attention).

I've just finished my part-time job and it's 11pm. It's fairly quiet but I could hear a pair of shoes following me from behind and I started to panic. I fastened my pace and I could hear the person behind me beginning to walk faster to and I start to wonder if I would make it out of this alive. I began to run as fast as my legs can carry me and turned into an alleyway where I began to frantically type numbers into my phone in attempt to find someone who could help me. I dialled 000 to call the police but before the call could connect, the stranger had knocked my phone out of my hand. Tears began streaming down my face and my legs started to shake; I was too scared to move. It was dark and difficult to see but I managed to make out a sharp object which raised up in the air as it shone in the moonlight. Realising it was a knife, I dashed in an attempt to escape which only resulted in me falling over and twisting my ankle; making my chances of survival 0%. The man smirked at me, laughing wickedly as he stepped forward slowly - as if teasing me. He was a hunter that knew that his prey had no chance of escape. I scream, hoping that maybe someone or something would answer my call and save me. His laughter echoed through the alleyway, mocking me; making everything seem just that bit more sinister.

The man smiled sweetly as he stood before me; raising the knife up into the air, ready to strike me down.
In that moment, a figure appeared before me. A wave of relief washes over me. I'm saved! Someone must have heard me scream and decided to check out the scene.
The figure moved swiftly, skilfully blocking the man's strike knocking the knife out of the man's hands before taking him down.
The figure looked back at me, his chocolate brown hair flowing flowing gently in the wind, his eyes a blood red colour.

I've conquered one obstacle but I may just meet a fate worse than death...
