At the sight of blood, his eyes glowed a bright ruby colour. The man groaned painfully, his arms and legs shook, his fangs bared.
All colour drained from my face as I came to the realisation that I was in fact, dealing with a vampire in the flesh. A real vampire. I wasn't watching Vampire Knight or anything on my laptop. I was dealing with a living and breathing vampire.
The vampire seemed to be struggling to breathe or possibly struggling to resist the urge to drink the man's blood which lay before him - or possibly from drinking mine. Why? I didn't understand. From what I'd heard, vampires didn't give a shit about the lives of humans and simply used them as sources of food.

Without giving me much time to ponder, a terrifying loud thud echoed throughout the street as the vampire collapsed onto the ground. His body was drenched in sweat and his nails were dug deeply into his skin in an attempt to pull himself together.
At first I kept my distance as a precaution, in case he was faking everything to pounce on me and drain me of all my blood when I was least expecting it, but as time went by, I realised that he had just genuinely fainted.

Upon closer examination, he really was as insanely as handsome as some of the rumours suggested about vampires. He had a defined jawline, a petite face, slightly tanned skin and soft, fluffy brown hair.

When he was fighting the man, he looked demonic - like he would kill anyone who crossed his path. However, as he lay on the floor, he seemed peaceful. He had delicate features and looked almost human. He looked like an innocent child that had fallen asleep because he was tired from running around and playing all day. Would a guy like this really go around killing humans for entertainment? Then again, I didn't know all that much about the true nature of vampires because just until recently, I assumed they weren't real at all. Although...he did just save my life. Maybe that's enough reason to trust him for now. I'll just make sure to keep my guard at all times. I can't just let him die here. That's just not fair to him.

Finally making up my mind, I pulled him up, throwing one of his arms around my neck as I attempted to drag him back to my apartment.
[ I know it's kind of weird but please pretend that she somehow managed to drag him up there without anyone noticing :') ]

I know that this chapter was short but I wanted to at least post something before going on exams. Since I have exams very soon, I don't know when I'll be updating next but please stay tuned! <3
