It's hard sleep when you know that once you fall asleep, the day has emded. I want to savour every second of summer and quality time I have with my father.
But all I can do right now is.....sleep.
Next day...I am woken up by the sounds of birds chirping. Birds in Canada are really loud. But the there chirpings are like the sweet melondy from an Modern Opera.
I got out of my bed relaxed. Today is a tuesday so I have to meet my best friend at the park to do this national tree-thingy-majig. I think it's Tuesday National Trees Day or, something.
I put a crop shirt that looks like the galaxy, a black skirt, and some black converse. My hair is suprisenly, not....a mess.
But, I straightened it anyways. I added a dark blue bow in top of my hair and threw on some sunglasses. I just added on some pink lipgloss and ran out the door.
At the park waiting for Jades speech to be over so we can leave and go get some food or something. The session is over and everyone starts leaving." Okay, now that that's over, can we please go get some smoothies at Starbucks!?! Please?! " I begged Jade as she was packing her purse.
" Okay, Okay!! We'll go, but you're paying for my drink. " She said smirking. I just rolled my eyes. We both walked to Starbucks and ordered our drinks. I invited Jade to come to my house.Jade and I went to my house. We went my room and decided to start reading for school. I don't worry about doing book reports or if I have to 12 different books in three days. I can read a book in 30 minutes. So reading 12 books will only take me 6 hours. Which is more than enough time to get work done, considering us humans have 24 hours in a day.
Soon after Jade left. My father had came home from work. He looks tired and hungry. I had let him lye down the couch and I gave a sandwich and some apple juice.
" Star, I need to tell you something. " He told me with a raspy voice.
" What? " I asked in a worried tone.
" I know you know that I'm leaving next month ,right? " he ask me.
" Yeah. " I slurred my words because I was really confused.
" Well, I'm leaving to....Washington DC. " he blurted out.
Silence filled to room. I looked down in disbelief.
" What? " Was all that could come out from my throut.
" I'm sorr- " he was cut off my words. " NOOO!!, you can't go!! That's way to far!!! " I felt tears swell up in my eyes.
" I'm sorry!!! I can't give up this opportunity!!! " he yelled back.
I had just walked away. I ran up to my room and locked the door. I sat at my bay window. I started to cry. I was not ready for this Summer to end, not now. Not ever. One being my dad is leaving me all alone in this stupid house. Yes, it was large and yes, it looked amazing and it is amazing, but it won't be in one month.
I thought of the day my mom died. She in a taxi car. The driver was stupid, and drunk. The breaks were broken. He drove of a cliff.....with my mom in it.
That thought just made me cry even more.
I looked up at the night sky. Shining lights were bright.
I closed my eyes, and I made a wish.
" I wish that,........ time could just......move back...s-so I can have more time with my father. "
It felt cool around me. I could smell the fresh sent of carmel, or honeydew. I tried to open my eyes. But when I did I couldn't see anything. It was dark.....but bright.
