"This is ridiculous!" Javi said angrily after knocking down the same guy for the third time.
She'd been on the same routine for two weeks now- training all morning, firearms in the afternoon and when she had a free moment she was always on the bike.
Ever since that day at the Office, Jack had not shown his face and thus she was left with the same guy everyday, a man she easily took down every time.
"Do you need a break?" The man said, sitting on the floor, trying to catch his breath.
"Are you kidding me? I'm done with this." Javi said, turning on her heel and walking out into the yard behind the building. The entire thing seemed pointless. She wasn't challenged and she wasn't improving.
"Damn it, Jack- where the fuck are you?" She muttered, throwing herself down on the ground. She needed a real work out, she needed more and as much as she hated to admit it, she needed Jack to be here.
That hard ass son of a bitch was the only who would whip her into the shape she needed.
Javi needed to be ready- she needed to be the type of person that Matteo could rely on.
----Jack walked into the training are in the building and found the man he'd left with Javi nursing his wounds.
"Hey! What's going on?" Jack asked, looking around for Javi. The man jumped up nervously, terrified by Jack.
"She needed a break." The man said, straightening himself up. Jack looked him over.
"It looks to me like maybe you needed a break." He scoffed, making the man frown.
"Yeah? I'm not the one who said she was done. That girl is a real pain, you know that? She doesn't listen at all..." The man said defensively.
"What do you mean she said she was done? Did she quit?" Jack asked, putting his hand over his face. "Don't tell me you let her leave?"
"I'm not stupid, she's out back!" The man replied.
Jack was quiet and took a deep breath.
"Wait here." He said, walking towards the back, trying to remain calm but he was about ready to kill her- how could she be expected to take the job seriously if she couldn't take training seriously?
He knew it! He knew this was a waste of...
Jack stopped, completely loosing his train of thought.
There she was, balancing by her hands on an old concrete wall. Her eyes were closed but her face was emotionless and her body was arched perfectly. There was no trembling, no struggle... She just held herself gracefully and so perfectly still.
He watched her for a second, the way the muscles on her body were flexed- muscles that usually were not so visible. He hadn't really noticed what a perfect figure she really had- long and lean. It was insane- she had managed to diffuse his anger without even knowing he was there.
"Stop staring." Javi said, her eyes still closed. "Go ahead and call Jack- tell him I'm going home."
Javi heard someones footsteps while she was up there and had assumed it was the man. She hadn't been meditating or thinking about anything... She just needed to stretch and feel... At one.
"Tell him yourself." Jack said, moving towards her slowly.
Javi's eyes opened abruptly and she spotted Jack. Scowling- something that broke her concentration, causing her to loose her grasp.
"Oh." The gasp escaped as her land slipped and her arm scraped against the concrete before she tumbled backwards.
Jack ran, instinctively knowing she would fall when her eyes opened, and miraculously... He caught her.
