--- I'm going to give the trigger warning now so you don't get it while you're reading and hate me. This chapter is partially about Haley telling John what happened between her and Alex before the prologue. In other words, she confessing that he had raped her. It may get in detail, so be aware. Thank you and I'm sorry if you have a problem.---

After a while, Haley had finally gained the courage to tell her fathers of what the letter said. It was about 23:00 hours, and time was going by quickly. Hamish was fast asleep in his bed across the room of hers, making her smile a bit before walking out and creeping down the steps and into the flat. John looks up from his paper, smiling at her.

"You seem so tired, Haley. Why not try and go to sleep?"

"And miss my father beating down Moriarty? Never." she grins, sitting in Sherlock's seat and holding the paper in her fingers.

"Come on now," John declared, sitting in his chair more comfortably. "You can't hide things from us forever. Especially what James told us about you and Alex."

She hesitates, feeling her throat lodge. "It wasn't my fault."

"Rape is never the victim's fault, Haley."

"He came onto me," she says, weaker now, and John could tell.

"Just please tell me what happened last night and we will never talk about it again, okay? You're safe here, Haley Jane." She looks to her adoptive father and smiles a bit before feeling the tears stream down her cheeks.

"I was walking home from school. Remember that I had called and told you I was staying after? Well, I did, and I ended up getting sucked into a run down with Lela for our extra credit points in Philosophy. We went down to the harbor, she wanted to from some strange reason, and Alex was there..."

The whole time she's talking, Sherlock was in the doorway, hidden from their view, listening to his own daughter's voice grow weaker and weaker in fear and pain.

"He grabbed me, harshly. Lela got scared and ran off, and he... you know..."

John only nodded, putting his paper down and sighing deeply. "Yes, I know."

"Then, he forced me at gun point to get dressed, and then pushed me into the water. I was struggling to get out and he only forced me down, then my attack started. I got my inhaler once I washed up on the beach and he kicked it from my hand as I finished my dose. All I could do from then was run, and run as quick as I could. I took the alleys, but he still followed me. He ripped my jacket from my shoulders and I made a break for it. I didn't see him again until just today when he went towards me and tried to get me again..."

"Haley, he will never harm you again, and nor will James or Sebastian, okay?" he asks, looking to her reassuringly, seeing the life nearly drained from her soft blue eyes. She nods, Sherlock walking to her, ruffling her hair and making her smile a bit.

"Haley Jane Holmes-Watson, you are something. I'm glad you fought him as you could. That's very brave of you."

"Learned it from you," she says to him, making him grin more. "You're the bravest I know."

He nods in agreement, John snickering. "What was the letter?" he asks, seeing the paper still in her grip.

"Lela confessing to me her deal with the MorMorFam."

"MorMorFam?" John asks, Sherlock laughing at this. "You've got to be kidding me. You nicknamed the murderous family we fear?"

"They seem less threatening that way," she replies with a smile. Shaking her head, she looks abck to the letter. "She was in plans with Alex and ran to tell James of my location. There should have been more attacking me, but he let me go, I assume. Also, she says that Dalton only came over to reassure his suspicion that I was aided here and not at the hospital..."

"That's so they know where to attack," Sherlock says, walking away from the girl and to the doorway. "I'm going to go over to Ms. Hudson's flat. I'll be there the night. John, Haley, you both know the plans. Get the the bedroom and lock the doors and windows. Bards are underneath the dresser and the hammer and nails are in the kit under the sink in the toilet."

They both nod, Sherlock descending the staircase and leaving them to the silence of the house. John stands, Haley jumping up and running to their room where Hamish was still asleep.

"Misha, time to get up. You can sleep in Dady's room, okay?" she asks, shaking his shoulder to get him awake a bit. He nods, grabbing his bear and rushing down the the main of the flat, running into John and Sherlock's room, jumping onto the bed and instantly falling asleep under the covers.

Haley grabs her inhaler and her sock monkey, heading down the stairs and into the room as John grabs the kit and tosses it to her. She catches it, setting it down on the bedside table and going to the dresser, pulling out the wooden boards.

"Possibly, Moriarty will head to your room first. Get to your room and board up the windows while I get these," John coaxes, Haley nodding and rushing up the stairs again, taking her two puffs. She sighs, boarding the windows. After about half an hour, it was nearly time of attack and they were fishes.

"Dad, lock the doors and I'll hide as best I can." John nods, walking around the flat and locking all of the doors, then walking into the bedroom to find Haley missing.

"Where've you gone?" he calls, hearing her snicker above him. He looks up, seeing her standing on the door frame, hugging the wall. He hadn't noticed her, and even if he did, there was no way he could pull her down. Moriarty, he means.

"Comfy?" he asks, making her nod. "Possibly, he won't see you. Strong chan-"

The guns fire, stopping them all. Haley looks to Hamish who sits up, eyes wide.

"Hamish, hide," John says quietly, sitting on the bed and watching him crawl over to the dresser and slide under effortlessly. They wait in silence, hearing the shots cease and the footsteps get closer.
