His Heart Of Iron

1-Vacation!

Levy's POV
Natsu started walking up to me. He had a toothy grin pasted on his face, I set down my book 'My Iron Dragon' and started listening to him. "So... Any luck with metal mouth?" He asked, pointing his finger at Gajeel. "N-No!" I stuttered, slapping his hand. He started rubbing his finger. "O-OW! He liiiiiikes you!" Natsu chuckled. "N-NO HE DOESN'T! LEAVE ME ALONE!" I screamed, running out of the guild.

I ran to my favorite library and sat at the corner of it, where all the untouched books are. Well were untouched before I read them all. I then started crying. "Hey... Shrimp, why are you crying?" I tilted my head, Gajeel was at the same height as me kneeling down. "Nothing..." I whimpered. "Come on Shrimp, you know you can tell me anything." Gajeel sighed. He put his hand on my chin and lifted it up. "Even if it's about me..." WOAH!! I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS AFFECTIONATE SIDE! "I-It's just-" "AHHHHH!!!!" I looked to my side to see a fangirling Mira. "Anyways... Master said to get you two, there's an announcement."

"EVERYONE... I WILL ANNOUNCE WHO GETS TO GO ON THIS YEARS VACATION! GAJEEL, LEVY, LUCY, NATSU, ERZA, JULLAL, GRAY, JUVIA, WENDY, ROMEO, MIRA, AND LAXUS!" "Yay!" I cheered, jumping up and down. "Levy~Chan! We finally get to go together!" Lu~Chan smiled. "Hey... Lu~Chan, can I talk to you... Alone?" I asked. "Yes!" She still seemed really happy. We walked to the corner of the guild. "Levy~Chan, what did you want to talk about?" "I think I love Gajeel..." Lucy burst into laughter, causing the whole guild to stare. "I'm sorry Levy. It was just extremely obvious!" I sighed and walked out of the guild. I sat at a bench under a cherry tree, ocansionly getting hit in the head by a unripe cherry. I rummaged through my bag, trying to find my book I recently started reading. Lu~Chan made it for me. "Where is it!?" Levy, breath in, breath out, it can't be far away from here! "Crap! Ugh... Come on!" I sighed, slamming my bag down on the bench. "Is shrimp looking for this?" I looked up being face to face with a certain iron-dragon slayer. "My book!" I growled. "OK... Don't be feisty. Is this the book you're looking for?" I looked up to see Gajeel waving the book back and forth. "Y-Yes! Can I have it back..?" I asked him. "Not until the little shrimp tells me what the book is about. "No! It's embarrassing!"
Gajeel's POV
I sighed and analyzed the book.

I flipped the book to the back and read.

A bookworm and a bad boy. They cross paths after the bookworms mom dies.

The bookworm is trying to find her meaning in this world, for she seems like she is unloved.

The bad boy is trying to hide his deep dark secret of him being a dragon. But, it's like she can see right through him. Since she has a power too...

"I can tell that you're the book worm, but who's the bad boy?" "NO ONE!" Shrimp yelled. "OK shrimp!" She scoffed. "Why do you call me shrimp!? Is that just calling me weak and un-capable of not getting killed!?" ARE YOU SERIOUS!? THATS WHAT YOU THINK I GAVE YOU THAT NAME FOR!?  ITS BECAUSE I THINK YOUR SMALL AND CUTE! Shrimp looked at me in dis-belief. "By any chance did I say that out loud?" I asked Shrimp. "Y-Yes... And you y-yelled at m-me!" She was blushing. Oh no... I snapped at her. She then did the unthinkable. She got up and and hugged me. He tiny arms wrapped around my waist. She instantly grabbed her book and ran towards her house. "You love her don't you?" I turned around and saw Mira. My eyes widened and she giggled. "Give this to her, she'll love it. Don't look in the inside though..." Mira handed me a golden locket. I examined the necklace. The locket was beautiful. "She's to beautiful for this..." I reached out my hand to her. She closed my hand and pushed it back to me. "Give it to her!" Mira yelled, turning around and walking back to the guild. I put the necklace in my pocket and walked towards my house.

I wonder what PantherLily is doing right now....

Levy's POV
I plopped down on the bed. I scanned through the pages. Nothing out of order. I flipped the book over. Yep, was I wrong? Yes. There was a little note there that said.

Just asking to be polite...
I know who the bad boy is!
It's me...
Don't try to deny it.
I'be been the only iron dragon since,
A long time.
So shrimp, I want you to know that I

Wait... Four letter word! It must be hate! It couldn't be love... Right?

Silly Shrimp. Don't jump to conclusions...

"WHA... Who was that? But the voice sounds really familiar...

Again. Silly. The Shrimp should be able to tell who I am.

The deep, rough voice. He's right. I am silly to not know who this is... Gajeel.
"Gajeel! Don't you have better things to do?"

I'm just helping... Again, don't jump to conclusions. I don't hate you.

"GO AWAY!"
