'I'm sorry to interrupt,' he said in a quiet voice, ' but she claimed to be the Alpha, not the Alpha's daughter.'

Fin turned to face me again and grinned.

Well... I'm practically dead.

'Is that so?' he asked, motioning towards my 'guards' to step aside.

I quickly stood up once they'd released me, my wrists still bound behind my back.

I stared at him not answering his question. If he was going to kill me I would die with my pride intact.

He moved so fast I doubt any of the other wolfs had been able to follow his movements.

He was in front of me in a flash and I had to stop myself from flinching.

He didn't really scare me nor did he intimidate me. There just was something... different about him.

He now stood right in front off me. He was slightly taller than me, so I had to look up at him.

My wolf didn't like that. She was very proud and hated showing respect to... well, anyone. And even something small as looking up was ticking her off.

When Finn spoke I could feel his breath tickle the top of my head. His scent all around me.

He had the weirdest scent I'd ever smelled on a wolf. He smelled like the sea.

It was delicious but still very weird for a wolf.

Wolfs generally didn't like water, we were heavy and furry and therefore not the greatest swimmers.

We could swim, it wasn't like we would drown whenever we touched water, but it took more effort from our part to keep floating.

Therefore wolfs stayed away from the sea as much as possible.

Except for me. I honestly loved water, always have. Whenever we were close to the sea I would literally beg my parents to take me there.

I almost smiled at the happy memories the sent brought up, I had to remind myself that I wasn't in a good situation.

The Alpha in front of me stiffened and looked at me again.

He took half a step back, getting me out my trance but still able to smell his strong scent.

' I asked you a question, little girl.' he said ' Did old Thomas really go crazy enough to make you Alpha?'

'My dad isn't crazy!' I snapped back at him. 'And yes, I'm Alpha.'

'Why would he do that?' he asked, himself more than me.

'Because,' I said raising my voice, 'you injured him so much he's not able to walk, his legs are basically useless. Hard to be Alpha when you can't walk!'

He stared at me, surprised by my outburst.

'I never fought him,' he stated, 'my father did.' and he nodded his head to the side.

On the edge of the clearing another man stood. He slowly walked closer to me and Finn.

And it was his father, Richard I remembered my father telling me once, the former Alpha off the Red Eclipse pack.

He looked at me, calculating. His gaze rested in my eyes and I knew why.

My eyes were the only thing I had in common with my father. I inherited all of my feature from my mother's side of the family.

Except the eyes, the exact same shape and the exact same shade of blue as my dad's. He must have noticed that.

'You're Thomas' daughter,' he stated.

I rolled my eyes. I'd only told them that three times or something like that.

It hadn't really been a question so I didn't bother in answering.

Instead I turned again to glare at Finn.

'So,' I started, ' it's ok for you to be Alpha when your father is perfectly able to lead a pack, but my father is crazy because he had to pass on that title after he almost died!'

He just smirked at me again and then his expression turned cold, kind of how a teacher looks at a student before scolding him.

'I'd watch your temper if I were you pup, you might live just a little longer.'

I growled at him,

'Just long enough to rip out your heart.' I muttered

Apparently he heard me because my back was suddenly slammed against a tree. That wouldn't hurt that much if my arms weren't still behind my back.

Unfortunately for me they were and I had to struggle to keep my face emotionless.

'If you weren't an Alpha I would have ripped your heart out by now.' He spat.

'So you are able to show respect to another Alpha, I wouldn't have guessed.' I growled back at him.

His eyes were close to black now, he closed them and took a deep breath.

When he opened his eyes again they were just as dark but it seemed like he was more in control.

'Take them away,' he ordered a few of his packmembers.

'Lock them up, and make sure she,' he glared in my direction, ' is entirely alone'

After glaring at me one more time he turned and walked away.
