The way out

One week passed without any news, every day it was the same thing: I woke up at 7 a.m., had breakfast with some friends, helped Frypan with the dishes, went to help on the crops, then meet up with Newt on lunch, helped Frypan with the dishes again, and spent the rest of the day on the crops. My life wasn't what you call "agitated", but I liked the way it was and even though the note that came up with Teresa said "ςհε ίς ϯհε ʆαςϯ σηε, εѵεɾ", what meant that the box wasn't coming up again, I didn't really mind leaving in the glade. I mean, I had friends, a loving boyfriend and an enemy! What else could I wish for?
Another week passed, but this time, something had changed: we were running out of supplies. Me and Newt met at lunch and as we were eating I warned the first-in-command: 'Newt, the crops are dying! And we don't have more seeds to plant.' 'I know, the medical supplies are out already too. But let's talk about that later, let's just have a nice lunch ok? Please?' He held my hand as he said "please" 'ok, but we have to talk about this! If the crops die, how long do you think we are gonna last?'. The handsome boy told me that everything was going to be ok and that I didn't had to worry about anything, but I knew that we couldn't leave in the glade forever, even though I liked the way my life was.

(Time skip; until sundown)

Thomas and Teresa came back from the maze with rush to see Newt, no one knew why. As they entered the glade running like crazy people, everyone was surrounding them and asking questions, but none of the runners spoke until arriving at the council hall. It was around 6:00 p.m. so I wasn't on the crops anymore, But with Newt in the hollow tree. I was laying in his lap and he was patting my hair. We were talking about our day and how we could change anything in the glade that it would make it better: 'the glade could disappear' Newt told me as if it was an idea 'what? Why? I wouldn't have met you if the glade didn't exist!' I replied, trying to get the sadness out of the conversation 'True, but I wouldn't have tried to kill myself...' 'What? You tried to kill yourself? When? Why didn't you tell me?' I asked many questions, but still couldn't understand why he hadn't told me this before.
'Look, I didn't have anyone at that time, it was just me and Alby.' The first-in-command explained to me 'Now I have you, and all of the other gladers!' He finished 'But you still want to destroy the Glade! What if we were sent here for a reason?!' I answered back 'I DON'T BLOODY CARE IF WE WERE SENT HERE FOR A REASON!' Newt screamed at my face. I got up from his lap and walked slowly, still staring disapprovingly at him 'Y/N, please don't', I thought I knew him after all these months I've stayed in this hell, it appears that I don't.
As I walked away from my boyfriend, I saw Jeff going to talk to him and he looked like he ran all his way here, what triggers me because nobody knew about this place but me and Chuck. The med jeck's mouth moved quickly as Newt's face got more worried, and after Jeff stopped talking, they both ran towards the Council Hall. I was curious about what they were talking about, so I followed them and entered the building they were in. It wasn't as crowded as I thought, so they quickly spotted me: 'Sorry Y/N, but you can't stay here' Gally warned me 'She can stay' I heard Newt's voice, but I didn't look at him, I couldn't.
'Okay, but everything that we say here, stays here! Alright?' The constructor said as he pointed his index finger to me 'Alright' i replied. Thomas, Teresa and Minho were there too, and I quickly sat next to Newt, even though he lied to me all this time, he could still protect me if Thomas got cranky. 'I think we might have found a way out' Minho said 'when we were running, we found a dead griever...' 'More like squished griever' Teresa added, 'As I was saying,' Minho continued 'the griever had some kind of tracking device inside it, and me and Thomas got it' he finished, 'Great! Go see if it leads to our way out!' The glue ordered 'we already did, and it leads to somewhere i've never been in these 3 years!' The keeper of the runners told us where they've been and that they had to run a lot to get there. 'y/n can't go' Thomas said 'what? Of course she can go! She was supposed to be a runner!' Newt "protected" me 'where we went, it had a note saying that if y/n go with us, they'll kill us when we arrive at the exit'

(A/N) Sorry, this was a lame chapter but the next one is on its way!
