FIRST GLANCE

I was literally dozing off when a voice of an angel broke away my boredom.

"One Big Mac, please," a voice told me. My heart thud and I was suddenly unable to reply, utterly mesmerized by the sound.

I looked up, slowly revealing the person who the voice came from.

She looked nothing less than breathtaking. Her golden blond hair was held high in a ponytail, hanging on one of her shoulders. She had just the right creamy skin tone to complement her luscious locks and the shade of her eyes. Damn those eyes looked spectacular. They were a phenomenal shade of teal, completely unlike an eye color I'd ever seen. Her lips, layered by shiny coat off pink, were full and just begging me to kiss them

"A Big Mac?" I asked when I finally regained the ability to speak. She looked amazing, so there was no way I was aspiring to look like a fool in her eyes. And, after all, first impressions last.

"Yes, please," she replied, hell-bent on looking on her BlackBerry. The business type, I guessed. Throughout all of this she had neglected to look at me.

Suddenly my appearance came rushing to me. My dark brown hair was hidden under a degrading red Mc D's cap. I was dressed in standard McD's uniform. My brown eyes were slightly dilated from last night. I could feel my cheeks turning a deathly red.

I gulped, inhaled, closed my eyes, ordered the Big Mac and said, "That'll be three dollars and ninety-six cents," I told her, surprised at how solid my voice sounded.

She dig into her designer handbag and took a ten dollar bill out her purse. God! Even her actions mesmerized me. The gracefulness of her actions entranced me. I was hooked and our skins haven't even touched.

After she took the note out of her purse her eyes left from her bag and finally, they met with mine.

When our eyes met I inhaled deeply and then stopped breathing. My heart skipped a thousand beats. A goose bump-inducing shiver echoed through my body. My world stopped. We connected instantly.

"H-here you go, Adonis," she muttered. For the first time her flawless composure.

Utterly enchanted, my trembling hand reached for the note. As soon as my hands touched the note, my fingers graced across hers. When our skins met I felt an unbelievable, unexplainable feeling rising within me. My chest clenched, and my heart stopped for a few seconds.

For a moment our eyes connected and locked. The outside world dissipated and it was just us, alone in a fast food joint that was slowly filling with people.

My hands dropped the note and slowly caressed her forearm. I gulped as electricity flooded me and my skin tingled in delight. Her eyes filled with moist and I had to conjure up the ability not to kiss those, soft, full lips.

"Adonis!" one of the cooks yelled, breaking my connection and made me jump.

I took the Big Mac, filled one of the cartons with fries and another with Coke. I turned back to pack her items into the McD's bag but when I turned, she was gone.

My heart fell to the floor as I looked around the restaurant for her only to see that she was gone. My eyes welled up as a thought raced through me:

 I lost her.

But as I look to where she stood just moments ago, I saw her BlackBerry on the counter. I gulped.
