Through The Darkness

Well, depressed and upset, here's a story.

April's POV by the way.

I look around and all I see is the moon light, there's trees everywhere, I look around and see there's a figure.

I know that figure.. It's him.

"How dare he bring me here!" I growl to myself, getting up.

"Phillip." I sneer as he turned around looking at me.

"What?" He snapped, crossing his arms.

"How dare you! Why would you bring me here?" I growl, shoving him.

"I had to." He said, "You hid from me. I missed you."

"You didn't miss me." I say, scowling at him.

"I did. I was looking for you, I was so upset, I missed you so much." He said, his features softening.

"You're a horrible liar." I say, looking away.

"I'm not lying!" He raised his voice, causing me to jump a bit.

"Yeah, right!" I snap, walking away.

"Walking away again, I see? You always walk away when you know someone's right." He said.

I stopped in my tracks, slowly looking back at him.

"You know nothing about me! You never have!" I huff, walking back over to him, "You're the one who broke my heart and now you want me to come back to you? No! I can't fucking do this anymore, Phillip! I love you and all you do is hurt me. Well, Kaitlyn's right! I should've listened to her and stayed away from you!" I yell, slapping him across the face as the tears roll down my cheeks.

"None of that is true." He said, "I love you too. And I know I hurt you, but please-"

I cut him off and growled at him, "Please what? No! No please take me back, April, no! I'm so done, Phillip." I say, walking away into the forest.

I heard him sigh and punch a near by tree, growling at himself.

"I should've never went to that comic book store." I mutter.

~Flash back~

April was looking through the batman selection of the store, seeing they had new Batman/Joker/Harley Quinn comics, she smiled and picked out two and bumped into someone.

"I'm so sorry." April said, picking up his and her stuff, handing him his.

"It's fine. Wow, you have .. Cute brown eyes." Phil said shyly, rubbing his arm.

"Thank you!" She smiled, "You have handsome green eyes."

~Flash back over~

Ever since that day, they talked more and more, and then they dated.

She broke up with him, afraid of hurting him more.

I sighed and looked down.

"Maybe I shouldn't do this." I muttered, kicking a rock.

"Doing what?" He asked, picking up the rock and skipping it in the lake she found.

"Nothing." I said, smiling as she thought of how sweet he was to her.

"Hey, Phil?" I called out to him, "I'm sorry."

"It's fine." He lied, sighing softly, "I'll take you home, and I'll stay out of your life. I'm sorry for doing all this."

"No.. I don't wanna go home. I just wanna be here with you, and no, don't do that. It's fine." I said, hugging him tightly, as I sobbed into his chest, muttering 'I'm sorry' over and over.

He held me as I cried, kissing her head.

"It's not your fault." He said.

As the sun rose, Phil picked her up and carried her to the car, smiling as she snuggled into him, liking the warmth he gave her.

He buckled her in and turned on the car.

Phil watched her chest rise and fall as he drove, smiling at how she looked like an angel.

He reminded himself, that he had to let go, not lose himself in her again.

He sighed, running a hand through his hair.

He unlocked the door and shh'd the small dog who was barking, he carried AJ to her bedroom and laid her down on the bed, putting the blanket over her. He kissed her lips one last time as he slowly shut the door, walking away.

He pet nacho and locked the door and left.

Why'd it have to be this way?
