I read for a couple hours. The people that we had supper with left, so Zach came into my room.
"Hey princess, excited for your mission tonight?"
"No." I cried into my pillow.
He picked up my arm and dragged me into the car. I buckled up and he handed me a bracelet and a box. He told me to put the bracelet over my ankle and the box in my arms. I really hope that today was gonna be quick and easy. We drove for like 45 mins till we showed up to a dark alley.
"Be careful babe I don't want anyone to hurt you ok. I'll be here the whole time making sure your ok!" He smiled kissing my cheek.
I walked out of the car and walked straight ahead. My heart hammered hard against my chest and my hands were shaking. I poofed up my chest to make me look stronger. Zach told me this was worth $250. There was two men and three women sitting in the back corner of a shed. I walked up to them and glared.
"Is one of you Morgan" I barked in there faces.
"Yah" the strong one stood up.
He towered over me and his muscles were huge. He handed me two 100 dollar bills, and one 50. I handed him the box, smiled, and walked away. Once I got closer til the end I started to run. I opened the door of the car and jumped in smiling.
"Yay babe you did it!" Zach smiled kissing my cheek.
I glared and pressed my cheek to the window
"Don't ever call me babe, princess, or sweetie. Understand?" I mumbled,
"No honey, you don't tell me what to do, I tell you what to do. Understand babe" Zach growled.
"NO. NO NO NO NO NO I WILL NOT DO WHAT YOU SAY PLEASE LET ME GO AND I PROMISE I WONT TELL ANYONE" I screamed crying and tried to open the door.
The rest of the drive was silent except for the occasional sob. When we arrived home I ran upstairs to my room and slammed the door. I tried to lock it but it wouldn't work.
"I took the lock off so you can't lock it anymore. Plus I think I owe you an explanation. All supervisors that are at the Rise corporation and kidnapped. I was kidnapped when I was 13 and now I'm 20. I've been here for 7 years and I haven't been able to escape... No one has. Your the first person I've had to supervise since I've been training for the full 7 years." Zach looked me straight in the eye.
I swear he almost started crying. He kissed my forehead and mumbled goodnight before turning off the lights and closing the door. I got ready for bed and fell asleep. The next thing I remember before blacking out was being smacked on the head with a hard metal bat.
