//Alison//
Being nervous was an understatement. A big understatement.
What if Michael doesn't remember me?
The thought scares me honestly. The drive to the Clifford's was only 5 minuets but it felt like hours. When we finally pulled up to their house it was exactly as I remembered it. Two story gray house with white shutters and a white from door. My mom parked the car and as we stepped out I got this sudden feeling of pressure in my stomach. Probably because I was nervous. We walked up to the front door and my mom rang the doorbell as me and my brother stood behind her. About 30 seconds later Michaels mom, Karen, answered the door with a big smile on her face.
"Irene!" She said while hugging my mother.
"Karen it's so good to see you! It's been so long! 8 years have gone by fast haven't they?" My mother says.
"Yes they have! Oh my Beck! You've grown so much!" Karen hugs my little brother.
"Oh my goodness Alison! You've grown so much! Look at you! You look absolutely stunning!" She says wrapping me in a welcoming hug.
"Thank you Karen! You look lovely as well." I say hugging her back.
"Thank you so much sweetheart! Here come inside." She says entering her home. We follow inside to the living room where Michaels father, Daryl, was sitting sipping on a glass of red whine.
"Well! Look who we have here! The Collins family! My my. I haven't seen you lot in over 8 years!" He laughs pulling my mother into a hug.
"Daryl it's so nice to see you! It has been a while!" My mother laughs hugging Daryl back.
"Alison! You've grown into a beautiful woman haven't you? I remember when you and Michael used to run around the garden!" He laughs pulling me into a hug.
"Haha thank you Daryl and it's nice to see you too." I smile.
"Speaking of which where is that boy?" Daryl says.
"Michael Gordon Clifford! Get down here this instant or I will take away your Xbox for a week!" Karen yells up the stairs to get her sons attention.
We hear get walking down the steps and I get that nervous feeling in my stomach again.
Seconds later my best friend shows up in the living room. Wow he changed. Red dyed hair, tattoos, eyebrow piercing. He looked amazing.
His eyes locked with mine and we just stare at each other for a moment.
"Alison..." He starts.
"Michael..." I say smiling.
He opens up his arms and I don't hesitate to run into his arms.
I wrap my arms around his waist as he wraps his arms around my shoulders. I burry my head into his chest and we just stay there.
"I missed you.." I say.
"I missed you too Ali." He says.
"You've changed." I giggle.
"So have you." He smirks. I hug him tighter.
He lets go and grins at me.
"I see you're still short." He says.
"I see that you're still a giant." I joke. He was always taller than me no matter what. I was 5' 4 while he was about 6' 2.
"Dinner!" Karen says walking into the room. We head towards the dining room and I take my seat next to Michael.
Karen sets out a big dish of lasagna on the table as well as some whine and water.
"This looks amazing Karen!" My mother exclaims.
"Thank you Irene. It was my mothers recipe." Karen smiles.
"I can't help but ask, where is Dylan?" Daryl asks. The whole table went silent.
"Oh... Um... He died about 4 years ago due to heart failure." My mother says.
I let out a big shaky sigh. Even though it was 4 years ago, it hit our family like a truck. It's not a topic I like to talk about because I haven't fully respected the death of my father.
"Oh my I am so sorry." Daryl apologizes.
"It's okay Daryl. You didn't know it's fine really." My moms says. Michael puts his hand on shoulder.
"You okay?" He asks.
I nod and start to eat my food.
