Just as I think I've gotten a hold of something the front door opens and I sit back down a little too fast and hit my hip on the table.

"What are you up to?" Harry's friend speaks.

"Where's...uh...the other guy." I was too close to saying Harry's name. The least they think I know the better chance I have on being let go.

"Why does it matter?"

I don't say anything. This guy is bringing a bad vibe already and I really hope Harry didn't leave me here all alone with him. Is he never coming back for me? Did he really just drop me off with his rapey friend to let him do as he pleases with me? Not like he'd care anyways, another problem out of the way is just how he sees it.

"You're a pretty one, aren't you?" He purrs into my ear and I swallow the lump in my throat.

"I don't understand why Harry doesn't have much of an interest in you." I don't even know why or how but that kind of hurt. He really doesn't care what happens to me. But how could I expect him to?

"Do you have a boyfriend?" He asks as I feel his presence close up to me.

"Why does it matter?" I mock him.

"So you're a virgin?" That's all it really took to tell me where the situation was leading up to and I scoot further back into my chair.

"Huh? What's you're name?" He asks twirling his fingers in my hair.

He smells thick of smoke.

"It's none of you're buisness." I come off strong, hoping he'll back away but he doesn't get the memo.

"But I'd really like to know."

"So?" I rudely remark.

"Would it make you feel better if I told you mine first?"

"It's Carl." He says before letting me answer.

"Now what's your name again?"

Carl puts his hand on my thy.

"Laurie." I choke out hoping to get him to stop.

"Oh." Is all he says rubbing my thy up and down going higher each time.

"Can I use the restroom?" I ask knowing its a waste of time.

"Am I making you uncomfortable?" He laughs.

"That's an understatement."

"You have three minutes." He says surprising me and removing his hand while untying my ankle and hands.

"I need at least seven minutes." I argure.

"Don't push it. Five minutes, that's it." He leaves the blindfold on and directs me to the bathroom.

As soon as I'm inside I take the blindfold off and lock the door quietly. The bathroom is full with old fashioned furniture and has a wallpaper embeded with different silver beads, many missing. The wallpaper is slightly crumbling at the corners also. It smells like smoke, more than the room did. I guess this is where he does his regular smoking. Wait, that must mean...A WINDOW!

I put the toliet seat down and waste no time climbing on and trying the window.

It's a bit too small for a person to fit through but it'll have to do. It's also a bit high for my liking but it's not like they're going to make it for my liking. Not too bad though, I could still jump it. I pop my head out and explore the area hoping I might reconize it.

No luck.

People casually carry on not seeming to notice a girl climbing out a high motel window. They must be use to it?

After a debate of which way would be safer or easier I go legs first. As I'm halfway through there's knocking at the door.

"Hey Laurie! Your times up!" I cringe at how he now knows my name and decide its better to not say anything at all as I continue my way out.

I jump to the ground or at least I try to and land wrong causing me to fall yet again for the thousandth time today. I quickly recover standing to my feet and make a sprint for it.

My plan was to get as far away from this motel and then look for help.

I scan the streets to remember as I'll give the cops a description of where these men's motel was located. Occasionally I bump into someone here and there; the streets weren't exactly that busy either. I pass by a Basket Robins, 2 gas stations, a junk yard, and finally head toward a Smiths. The more people the better.

This is it, I'm finally away from those men and am safe. Or so I think so...

I bump into one person a bit too hard from my excitement and loose my balance. A hand stops me from falling, but not just any hand, it's grip is strong, angry, familiar.

I'm pulled back up to my feet to be staring into green furious eyes. His breathing is heavy and ragged. He pulls me back to the direction I had once happily pranced away from.

I was so close, too close.

I feel the tears filling my eyes but I am too angry to cry, angry at myself for not going faster, angry at these men for pulling me back into this mess and not just letting me go. I don't argue against Harry as his hand drags me farther and farther from probably my only chance from escaping to safety.

I'm snapped back into reality by Harry's harsh words, "Fucking Carl! I fucking knew he'd loose her."

I think quickly. I do the only thing left to do. I scream, loud. I scream at the top of my lungs, pushing as far away from this handsome, heartless, guy who has kidnapped me. Out of all people, me. All alone, on my birthday.
