"Get to class everyone". That's what we're all accustom to hearing as kids. Like every 14 year old kid, high school is another obstacle ready to drag me to my internal fear of disappointment. What if I'm not cool enough ? What if I just don't fit in ? Well... I got to suck it up anyways, because regardless of how I'm feeling in the morning my stern parents expect me to get ready for the bus that is promptly waiting for me at the bus stop down the street, be in school, everyday, and get a good education. Like most parents in Montgomery, Alabama, mom and dad are relatively stable, with a elegant home, and a reliable job. My Dad, Joseph Wittman is the sheriff in town, while my Mom, Mary Wittman is a teacher at Alabama Christian Academy. I sort of have to do better than average in school, unless I want to see the dreadful side of my parents. Not to mention my dad wants me to try out for the basketball team in my school, even though basketball isn't really my thing. But it was however a hobby my dad enjoyed, he got a full ride scholarship to the University of Alabama just for playing a sport.. And now he expects me to be an All American just like him, ha. Well I guess that's one of the perks of being six foot tall brings to the table. I mean my dad says "It would make me proud to see you out there Jr.". Every son wants to make his dad proud. So.. With some time and some encouragement from my dad I tried out and unsurprisingly made it on the team, I mean who wouldn't get a six foot tall freshman. Coach Riley said I can really be an outstanding asset to the team. I hope he's right. I really hope I can impress my Dad..
