She sat they're on the front porch in the Moonlight of Darkness. She was hard to see but she was there dressed all in black. I've never seen her before. No one has lived in the house next door for six months. She reminds me of a creature of the night. But she's just sitting on the porch in a rocker rocking back and fourth. I move slowly so to not to disturb her. But I feel like someone is watching me, watch-ing my every move. I jump as an owl begins to hoot from a distance. I shiver as I stop to look around, I feel stupid and I realize I'm only scaring myself. I move to my driveway and up as the owl is still hooting. I go up my steps to my porch where I see a bag of trash. "No." I say before picking it up and turn and head back down the steps. My eyes gaze over at the house next door and see that she is gone. I make my way to the trash can and open it then drop the trash in to the can. I walk fastly back to the porch and there she is setting in one of my metal chairs. "Hi." She said in a soft smokey voice. I said nothing for a long moment i must have seemed rude. I finally replied, "h- h- hi, I'm your neighbor" My words shaky as they comes out. "Sorry for scaring you." She adds in a breathless voice. The only light coming was from a crescent moon. It makes her face look peal in the soft light. " Oh, I came over to Barrow some sugar," she asked as she got up from the chair. I fish for my key to open up the door. "Shore let me get you some." I say as I swing the door open. She fallows me in but stops just inside the door frame. I drop my keys on the table and enter the kitchen. There I grab a cup out of the cabinet and fish out some sugar from the canister. I then quickly return to her and as the kitchen light shines on her she appears translation. She almost makes my heart stop but my mind said she's just a goth, shes just a girl. But I know there's something more to her. As she turned and exists the house I hurry to shut the door. And again I thank to myself that was rude, I should have saw her to the steps. I lean back on the door and try to take in the mysteries of the girl. She's mysterious that's for shore, but my heart keeps telling me she's hot in a good way. And my mind yells she's a vampire but I know I shouldn't think that. How can I think that from just her looks and her out at midnight. But then again no one is out after midnight in my neighborhood.
Not unless you're a creature of the night. I moved slowly away from the door and to the chair. There I tried to rap my head around the thought of her being a vampire. But the more I thought about it the more it made me sleepy. And before I even get up from the chair I was a sleep...
The next morning mothers voice woke me up. " Not again," she yelled " Don't you have a bed to sleep on, and not my reclining chair." I said nothing as I got up from the chair and made my way to the bathroom. There I splashed Luke warm water on my face and thought to myself what a dream. I come up with the craziest thing. "Mason, Mason hurry up." Yelled my brother John in his ducky voice.
"Give me a minute." I yelled back. Then I hard mom yell "Eggs or cereal boys" I knew what John would pick, eggs again. He knows when the right time showed. This has been three mornings now, eggs, eggs, eggs, he always picked the one thing I hated the most. I yelled from the bathroom, "nothing for me," I washed my face then exited the bathroom for my bedroom. There I undressed and quickly dressed for school. I hoped that living this early I could see the girl next-door. I could see her in the morning light. Then I would know if she was truly a vam vam vampire. It was weird it was like bleach in my mouth. I hoped she was not a creature of the night.
