Is Germany HRE?

Germany and HRE (Holy Roman Empire) are the same person. This is supported by evidence from both the manga and the anime. Though it has never been stated directly, it is hinted throughout Hetalia.

Obviously the they both have pretty much the same eye and hair color, with little differences that could have changed due to age. Not only do they look the same but they share many personality traits and even have a similar relationship with Italy.

Chibitaly as a child and even now as an adult never liked to sleep alone. Chibitaly in the manga has asked HRE if he could sleep with him in his bed. This is similar to the fact Italy sneaks into Germany's bed at night.
During Chibitaly's goodbye with HRE he gave HRE his underwear (manga). This is similar to the underwear Italy got Germany for Christmas.
Also in one of HRE's dreams it showed Chibitaly jumping on top of HRE when he was sleeping waking him up. This has also happened with Germany and Italy.

Here it is almost directly stated that Germany was once the Holy Roman Empire. It makes sense that he would loss childhood memories after being reborn again after having you empire fall.

In this same episode Germany was shown after being "created" he unlike the other new countries was not Chibi and was already in a preteen looking body. This preteen form is about the same age that HRE would have been the time the empire fell.

Not only does Germany seem to have similar feelings to Italy as HRE he seems to react the same way to his feels as well.

Germany at the end of an episode or manga had these memories of Chibitaly. Because the fact that Italy would have been definitely older than a Chibi at the time Germany was reborn. Germany wouldn't have had these memories of Italy if he wasn't HRE or some other country at the time Chibitaly was a Chibi.
Considering the fact of what happened in the episode and/or manga where these memories are seen, it is shown that Germany has feelings for Italy. Therefore these memories should have some sort of connection to love for Chibitaly. HRE seemed to be the only person in love with Italy at the time.
Seeing the hand that places a flower in Chibitaly's hair you can see that it is a Chibi's hand wearing something black. Other than maybe Italy's brother, no one else was shown to be a chibi at the time Italy was, other than HRE. HRE also wears a black outfit with sleeves that look just like that.
Germany is seen in an episode saying "Who are you?" To Chibitaly this means that Germany has never seen pictures, heard of, or seen Chibitaly. This would mean that he has lost all memories of Chibitaly and those memories that he got were not from anything else but from being there in person.

I'm sure there is a LOT more evidence hinting towards Germany being HRE. This is all the evidence that I could gather up on the top of my head and on short notice for GerIta day! I might add on to it.
I'm also might add things that say Germany is not HRE and how these things can be misunderstandings between characters and/or fans!

I made this in order to celebrate GerIta day. I do have plan to add on to it. Have evidence Germany is or isn't HRE? Tell me, I'd lone to hear you opinions, thoughts, and findings.
