-A swift wind followed by a crack of lightning left a shadow in the middle of the room-

"Back with another job for me huh? How long you donna make me do this? WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?!"

"Settle down human, today you are going to visit what we call the soul prison you are going to see things you never thought existed and all the while you are going to learn why what you are doing is actually helping, not harming."

-a red circle lights the floor emitting black smoke around the room-

"Step in Death Bringer, i promise you won't be dissapointed."

"Well of all the things you've made me do so far i guess visitting a place is the least mentally challenging one."

I stepped in to the circle and was transported to a place filled with mist, the smell of sulphur in the air and all i could hear were the whimpers and screams of men and women gone mad having been trapped here so long.

i walked for some time before i heard chains rattling and the hitting of bars in something like a rhythm and after that all i heard was a loud monotonous song by everyone in the cages as if telling a story of where i was and who they are.

"We are bad men, we were the the hateful, hurtful murderous crew, we robbed the towns. we pillaged, we fought but, we did so for the truth.  For when you hurt a man...and degrade all he holds true. you create some-thing, just a monster, demon, hellgod through and through, we were once all average. we had wives, we had kids. but they were taken, killed and hung by the knoose, FOR WE ARE PIRATES, WE ARE DEMONS OF THE SEA AND wHEN WE STOLE AND KILLED, WE WERE FREE, WE WERE FREE, WE WERE....free"

the men in these cages had been there for many years but they all did look like pirates.

"I see you arrived and heard what the 14th century pirates had to say about there reason for being here. They are forced to sing that song for the pure fact that whenever anyone walks through here they must sing and you can only repeat the same action so many times before it becomes torture."

"I never thought you'd have the pirates here, i always thought when a pirate died he was taken to davy jones' locker."

"Oh they used to be, but Davy Jones died and in turn his soul prisoners became mine. Though i made sure his legend lived on."

"I see, what am i here for anyway?"

"Well, you are here to see why what you do isn't a terrible act, it is simply just something that needs to happen. Not all souls i take are tortured and kept here, sometimes it is just there time to die and they need to be passed over to the correct place. Though ninety percent of people that pass through has to serve a few days time here for acts they have done. Everyone here will eventually be passed over to the right side and live happily but depending on how terrible the things you have done are, the more time you serve here. Does it make sense now?"

"Yeah i guess so, but i want proof, show me those who pass through and live happily."

"Hm, difficult but if it's what you need to do your job correctly then so be it. Follow me."

i followed Death through a series of doors to a room where only one day stand in the direct center of the room. Light poured out from every crack.

"Is that the door to heaven?"

"Human, you have much to learn, Heaven is a myth, there is no one almighty god watching over you all, there are thousands, that door there simply leads to a place where you can do anything you want, those who commit acts of crime in there are sent back to earth to live another life time, those who just have fun in there and live get to stay for eternity or they have the choice to be reincarnated as someone and they get to pick there talents etc, we have three people coming through now who have served a few days here."

"Do they just enter?"

"Hm, sort of. We first question them to see if they have changed there ways or learnt anything and ask them there intentions once past the door, though in this room no lies can be told. So if they still hold evil inside of them there plans will be exposed."

"Well that sounds quite fair."

Three normal looking people entered the room.

"Sarah Mack, have you learnt anything while you have served your days here?"

"Yes, the acts i committed were bad and i believe attoning for them is the right thing to do and i should respect other people more than i did before since our lives are not linked and we equally have no understanding of how eachothers lives are."

"And what do you intend to do once you pass through these doors?"

"I intend to watch over the rest of my family and guide them when they need it, live a happy afterlife and one day reincarnate as someone who can help the world."

"You may pass through the doors."

The doors opened and the woman passed through, her clothes turned a pure white and every speck of mud or dirt on her vanished.

"Jeffrey Cotts, Have you learnt anything while you have served your days here?"

"No."

"And what do you intend to do once you pass through these doors?"

"I intend to get revenge on the people that killed me and took everything of value from my family."

"Jeffrey Cotts, i sentence you to 200 days here where you shall live in poor conditions and be made to understand the true meaning of revenge."

A hole opened underneath the man and he fell in kicking and screaming, though i felt sorry for the man i understood why he had his sentence to stay here.

"Michelle Field, Have you learnt anything while you have served your days here?"

"No."

"And what do you intend to do once you pass through these doors?"

"I intend to live out the days being happy and making the most of the gift i have received to be in there."

"You may pass through the doors."

With all that over i realised what i must do and why i was doing it, maybe this isn't all bad, i have the privilage to take evil out of the world and reform it in to good, maybe i could get used to this after all
