Free at last, finally free from my horrific mother. Auradon will be the place where dreams come true. I'll make new friends, find the love of my life, and truly be happy for the first time in my life.
Gretchen Gothel, daughter of Mother Gothel, also know as, the wicked person that locked Rapunzel in a tower. That's me, just your average villain and hating every second of it. True, I hang out with Hugo and Gaston, who I better know as tweedle dee and tweedle dum. Gaston is a complete idiot and Hugo thinks he's better than everyone and honestly he's all talk. I associate with them though because they're top dogs and that's how you survive on the island.
On the Isle of the Lost, I'm with the "popular" villains and it does have its perks. I'm never on the other end of Hugo's schemes and honestly being "rotten to the core" as everyone likes to say allows you to blend in with the crowd on this island. It keeps my mother happy and off my case which I'm glad about. So yeah, I hang with the villain kids, but that doesn't make a villain. Not one bit, I've got much more potential than the most of them.
I'm going to Auradon to discover my true self, instead of living this lie I've made of myself on this island. I want to be known for being good and that's what I plan on doing. Apparently, I'm apart of Hugo's plan to kill King Ben. Crazy, I know right. Who the hell does Hugo think he is? He's not going to get away with and I'm simply playing the part of backup help and someone he can go to for information. I'm going to stay away from him as much as possible during our stay at Auradon. If he does manage to kill the king, which like I said, I highly doubt, villains will rule the land and I don't know what I'll be then.
Wishful thinking that Hugo fails though. I've got more important things to worry about than him. For example, everything involving me and nothing involving him or his obnoxious boyfriend. God bless, I'm leaving this island. I'm breaking free of my mother.
She's absolutely horrible. She's just as manipulative as ever and constantly puts me down. You want to know what she said to me minutes ago when I left the house for who knows how long? She said to me, "Now Gretchen, I'm counting on you to befriend Rapunzel's daughter and find out if she has the same powers as her mother. Don't even think about coming home until you have a Fitzherbert child with you."
As if I'd ever do that, it's true I'd like to be friends with Rapunzel's daughter, but not for those reasons. I'd just think it be cool to reverse what's written in the stars for us to be natural enemies because of our parents.
Like I said, I've already left my house and I'm entering the limo, along with seven others and I've never wanted to kill myself more than ever sitting to everyone talk and plot. It was mainly just Hugo causing a ruckus as Gaston cheered in agreement.
"So do we all know what the plan is? We gain King Ben's trust, along with everyone at Auradon Prep, and then when the timing is right, it's off with his head. Well not literally, we're going to kill him but not by decapitation. That's far too messy. I was thinking of the classic shank without him even seeing the weapon. The best kind of death, a truly unexpected one, that he can't prevent," Hugo whispered with a devilish smile and sometimes it scared me how serious he was about this plan.
"All I know is that, I don't want blood on my hands. I'm all for the villain uprise though, just don't think I'm doing your dirty work," Helena responded as she had her legs kicked up on seats, taking up most of the room and it was already crammed enough.
"What say you, Gretchen?" Hugo asked me as he brushed up against me and I leaned more towards Kai who was sitting on the other side of me.
"Hugo, leave her alone. Just eat your sweets and shut it until we get to Auradon," Kai butted in for me and he never got nasty like with anyone, that is for the exception of Hugo, which we've all comes to terms with.
