Ch.9 Partially immortal

"Has little Dawn found a new prey?" Luke asked with a sneaky look.

"Is that-" Tyler whispered to Dawn.

"Yep" Dawn frowned as she stood up and faced Luke.

"Are you doing what I think you're doing?" Luke asked her.

"No I am not gaining his trust so I can kill him later."

"What?" Tyler said.

"Oh come on Dawn" Luke said with a sneaky look "I know you want to."

At that point Dawn exposed her fangs and yellow eyes as she growled at him.

"Why don't you go chase some squirrels?" she growled "In fact, there's some behind you.

Luke turned around to see squirrels climbing up a tree.

"Alright" he said with a little frown "But this isn't over."

And with that he walked away.

"So that's Luke?" Tyler asked.

"Yeah" Dawn sighed "Also known as my ex boyfriend who turned me into a werewolf."

"Seriously?"

"Yeah, when I found out he was a werewolf, I tried to run from him, but he scratched me before I could get away, and I've been a werewolf since."

"Damn" he gasped.

"Yeah" she sighed "But that's not all, when I first became a werewolf, I couldn't control my transformation and I was cursed to transform on the night of a full moon, and whenever I turned back, I don't remember anything. That is until I met Raven who gave me this potion that allows me to control my powers."

"So how did you meet Raven and Ivy?"

"It's a long story" she said just as the bell rung "Which I don't have time to explain."

"Oh come on you can tell me" Tyler said as they headed inside school.

"I'll tell you later okay? Just not here, maybe after school."

"Fine" he groaned.

Now at lunch, Ivy decided to sit with Ethan as she munched on her salad.

"So how are you feeling?" she asked him.

"Well I'm awake" he said as he kept shaking as he held onto a large cup of coffee from Starbucks "But all of this coffee is really giving me the rush."

"Yeah it should die down in about an hour."

"And hour?" he said surprised "You mean I'm gonna be shaking a whole class period?"

"Pretty much."

"Oh man" he whined.

"Damn" Raven said as she went up to them "Ethan how much sugar did you have?"

"It's the coffee" Ivy said "At least he's awake now."

"But I can't stop freaking shaking" he said as he turned to Raven with a worried look "Please help me."

"Don't worry" she said "I know how to get you relaxed."

She grabbed onto his shoulders and let some cooling energy into his body as he stopped shaking.

"There" she said "That should calm you."

"You're right" he said "I feel so..."

And with that he let his head drop on the table as Ivy's eyes widen.

"He'll be fine" Raven assured.

"Okay" Ivy said as Raven went away.

After she was gone, Ivy started to look at Ethan. And as she examined him more, she started to realize how cute he was.

"Wow" a guy up to her "You finally killed someone huh?"

At that point, Ivy gave him a mad look as she hissed at him with her fangs.

"Oh relax" he said as he turned to Ethan "I'm not gonna steal your victim."

"He's not my victim Alex" Ivy frowned "He's my friend and he's asleep."

"Asleep huh?" Alex said as he stepped towards Ethan with a sneaky look "Perfect time to feast."

"Get away from him" she scowled with her fangs showing.

"You think I'm gonna drain him here? In front of everyone, although it would be pretty cool to see everyone freaking out."

"Leave" she growled.

"Oh like he's gonna wake up now."

At that point Ethan woke up.

"Whoa" he said amused "I feel so relaxed."

He then turned and saw Alex.

"Oh uh, hello?" he said "Am I in the middle of something?"

"You're fine" Ivy said as she turned to Alex with a frown "He was just about to leave."

Alex then turned to Ethan as his eyes turned red, Ethan's eyes widen as he he gave a small jump as Alex went away.

"So Alex is-" Ethan started to ask.

"A vampire?" Ivy finished "Yeah, he's the also the one that turned me."

"Really?" he gasped.

Ivy then moved her hair back and showed him the side of her neck.

"You see the marks?" she asked.

"You mean those two?" he pointed.

"Yep."

"That's where he bit you?"

"Yeah, I mean it's barely noticeable, it wont go away until one more year."

"So how long have you been a vampire?"

"3 years, same with Dawn and Raven."

"And you're how old?"

"17, and since I haven't drank human blood, I'm able to age."

"But I thought all vampires are immortal."

"Well only those who have drank human blood, and since I haven't drank human blood, I'm only partially immortal, meaning that I can't die, unless well, you know the ways to kill a vampire. But I can still age. Plus, vegetarian vampires have hope of becoming human again, which is why I don't drink human blood."

"But what's wrong with being a vampire? It sounds kinda cool with all the powers you have."

"It's not as cool as it sounds, I have to drink blood to live, if I don't drink enough blood, I'll become weak, and if I wait any longer without blood, I could die."

"Yikes" Ethan gasped.

"Plus, I have to stay away from garlic, and I used to love garlic, it was so good with pasta."

"Oh that is good."

Ivy then gave a sigh "I mean being a vampire is not always so bad, I have super speed, super strength, except Dawn's stronger than me, and I can fly."

"That sound cool."

"It is, but there are times when I miss being a normal girl."

"Isn't there a cure?"

"I don't know, I've been trying to find a cure, but so far nothing. But then again, since I'm not a full vampire, I have better hope of become normal again."

"Well I can help."

"Really?"

"Yeah, if you ever need anything, I'm willing to help."

"Well, thank you" she smiled.
