Percy POV
Percy had just got back from a hunt. He didn't want his mom to know he was still hunting so it was usually just him. The Giant war ended a month ago. He and Annabeth broke up but they were still good friends. He walked back to camp through the woods. He had a car but he parked it in the garage with the Delphi van. He got special permission from Chiron to park it there. he had told the camp he was going on a quest. Chiron was the only one who truly knew where he was going.
They all cheered when he walked through the border. Percy didn't want the cheering. He did not feel he accomplished much for the cheering, so he just walked to his cabin. He had a bad three days trying to catch a group of traveling vampires. They were posing as gypsies. he had opened the door to his cabin and shut it gently. He dragged his feet to his bunk before flopping not so gracefully into his bed.
He stayed like that for ten minutes when a knock at his door made him groan. He was so blissfully close to sleep. "Come in," he grumbled. Annabeth, Piper, Jason, Leo, and Nico came in. It was a surprise to see Nico but he just wanted to be alone. He sat up anyway. "Hey," he said to the group. They all gave him their greetings. Nico mostly stayed in the shadows. While everyone else crowded around Percy's bed.
Annabeth jumped on him making Percy groan and grumble about how he just wanted rest. "So how was your quest?" Piper asked. Percy just huffed and smashed his face into his pillow. Sure he loved his friends but he just wanted to rest.
Leo laughed and said, " A grumpy Percy is not a good Percy." "No shit Sherlock," Percy hissed. He didn't want to be mean; he loves all of his friends but right now some quiet could go a long way. The demigods got quiet. It wasn't that uncommon to hear Percy swear. He did grow up in New York. What was uncommon was for him to swear at his friends or family.
"Alright guys, let's leave Percy alone," Piper said. Everyone completely agreed and quietly left the Poseidon cabin. One by one they said little byes as they shut the door behind them.
