Chapter 2

I woke up to screaming I shot out of bed to Speedys room and saw that she was just having a nightmare "Speedy wake up its not real wake up" I screamed and shook her and she woke up and hugged me sobbing "hey its ok your ok its not real your fine ok" she slowed her breathing and stopped crying and looked at me "its time for you to get up and get ready we have to leave in an hour ok" she nodded her head and grabbed a towel and went to the bathroom as I walked out of her room I walked to the bathroom that me and Nix share only to see him walk out in only a towel around his waist I looked at his toned chest and nice v line and felt my cheeks go red " like what you see" Nix said "eh ive seen better" I said although I haven't. "no haven't I can read your mind sweet one you can read mine too if you try its like a mind link." "whatever I need to shower" I said as I pushed past him. when everyone was ready to go to school we all left and we walked there it only took 5 min when we got there I smelt that sent again but ignored it and keept walking through the already parted crowd that was whispering things and it was getting annoying I had finally had enough "SHUT THE HELL UP GO BACK TO DOING WHATEVER YOU WERE" I looked around and saw everyone showing their necks to me except my sister who was standing tall with me I looked at Nix "rise we need to go" "yes my queen" "don't call me that" and with that we continued walking and everyone went back to doing what they were before and when we got to the receptionists desk "hello were new and we need our scheduales" she just ignored me "excuse me" still she ignored me "LADY LOOK AT ME" she looked up and showed her neck "thank you we need our class lists please were new" "ok what our your names" "Annabella Jones, Speedy Jones, and Nix Jones" "ok here you go" "thank you" as we were walking away Nix stopped me "you have my last name the same as yours?" he said questionably "of course you are going to be our brother might as well start with your last name" "ok look we all have the same classes together" he said looking at all three of our class lists and yes Speedy is only 15 but she is already a Jr. in high school like me and Nix. "awesome lets go before we are late" when we got to class we sat in the back and I sat infront of my sis and Nix sat beside her. Right before the bell rang someone walked in and I smelt that sent again but I didn't look up because I knew it was my mate and I didn't want one yet so I kept drawing. then the teacher started her lesson when I got a note I opened it and all it said was mate. i just got up and tossed it in the trash can and went back to my seat. I heard a growl then a hand grabbed me and dragged me out of the classroom much to my dissappoitment and struggling. "Look at me" a deep voice said I just looked at the ground and he grabbed my chin and made me look at him as soon as I did my wolf rain kept screaming the word 'mate'. "MINE" he growled and lossened his grip on me for just a second but that second was all I needed to get free I just ran back to class just in time to get my stuff and go to my next class. I tried to avoid him for the rest of the day which was not easy considering we had every class together. when our last class ended I grabbed my sister and Nix's hands and ran but we didn't make it very far because as soon as we took a step we heard a growl and it was from my mate note to self get his name. I looked him right in his eyes which were pitch black meaning his wolf was out and I relised where he was looking was at me and Nix's hands that were together. As fast as lightning my mate grabbed Nix by the throught and held him against the lockers "MINE DON'T TOUCH WHAT IS MINE GOT IT PUP" he screamed in his face "Who said she was yours" Nix asked back I quickly ran over to my mate and hugged him from behind and he finally cooled down he let go of Nix who landed perfectly on his feet and made it seem like it never happened. "MINE HE THOUCHED WHAT IS MINE" "Hes my brother you idiot now we are leaving lets go guys" I said and went to walk away but before I did I turned and looked back "whats your name mate of mine" "my name is Cooper lovely what is yours" "Annabella" I simply stated and left the school and we walked back to the apartment in silence. When we got there Nix looked at me "one of your forms we need to get you away from town or you might kill someone Speedy stay here don't open the door for anyone and don't leave" she just nodded yes. "So great and wise Nix what am I shifting into" he looked at me and said "thestral" he said "you mean from harry potter the one with bat like wings and a skeleton horse body" I looked at him like he was crazy there is no way they don't exist. "of course they exist they only way to see them is if you have seen death and accepted it fully then you will be able to see them." "sure they ar- AHHHHHHHHHHH whats wrong with me it hurts so much" "your shifting it will all be over soon whos there come out right now or your going to die in a few min" I looked up to see a pure gold wolf with one silver ear and one white ear he growled out at Nix and looked over to me and he came over to me and rubbed his big head against mine and I felt sparks I knew that it was Cooper "fine you can stay have you ever experienced death before" I looked up at coopers wolf as he nodded his head yes "great then youll be able to see her when shes fully shifted which should be in about 3 2 1 now" right when Nix said that I screamed bloody murder and when I looked down I saw that I was standing on 4 long lean legs and I looked at my back to see huge leathery wings oh and I was white not black and when I looked at Nix and Cooper and all I heard was there hearts beating and the blood running through their veins I was going through a blood lust "Cooper get back or she will kill you mate or not" Nix said as he shifted into his own thestral and he ran towards me when he got within rage something took over my body and I blacked out.

Nix POV

I stopped mid charge as her eyes turned white which is not normal for her since her skin is white her eyes are normally black. When she looked at me I relised that her thestral took over and she wanted blood I charged at her and held her down i shifted back to my human form and cut my wrist with my teeth and I put my wrist to her mouth and watched as she slowly drank from my wirst and her eyes finally went back to black and she let go of my wrist and shifted back "Annabella" I asked "no Annabella is not here right now I am her thestral cloud my human is very weak right now and she want to go home" "Cloud you need to let Annabella have control back" "NO I MUST PROTECT HER she needs me too she doesn't know what she is yet" "we know that but she needs to figure it out herself not with your help." "FINE but if she gets hurt I will take over her body again and I will kill you and then ill block her memory of you forever got it" "yes cloud I understand bye now we will see each other again soon" I saw the white leave her eyes and Ann looked at me before she started to collapse and before I could even move Cooper was their and caught her he looked at me "yes take her back to your place but if anything happens to her you better believe I will know and I will hunt you down and make you pay for whatever you did to her got it." he just rolled his eyes at me and shook his head yes and took off with Ann on his back I just shifted into my wolf and took off towards the apartment to see my mate................
