It was Sarah, she was covered in blood. You almost couldn't tell because it was late at night. You were freaked.
"Sarah.. What the hell ??!?!?" Rituzai said.
"Remember we planned to run away together when i turned 18. I was so happy to know someone felt the same way about me as I felt towards them. I could never forget that feeling. The one that only seemed to come around you.
I want to thank you.. For everything. I honestly believe you're the only one who could behave me."
Akiri sheepishly walks toward us.
What's going o- OH MY GOD SARAH WHAT HAPPENED YOU NEED TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL.
no!! I'm fine. This is exactly where i need to be. People like me don't deserve to be helped; I've turned it down so many times when I've needed it the most. Maybe my dad was right.. no one loves me ..or maybe I don't allow people to. I'm scared of the feeling, scared that they'll hurt me like..
(Flashbacks to what dad did)
A distant car can be heard approaching
The headlights becoming more visible. Sarah runs in the street to meet her chosen fate.
"Sarah!!" Rituzai yells and falls to his knees; emotions overpowering him
Akiri stands in shock. It's as if time stood still. Akiri gets her phone and calls the hospital.
~at the hospital~
Rituzai and Akiri sit in heart breaking silence waiting for the doctors
"Rituzai.. It's not your faul-
"I know, as much as I would like to blame myself I can't. I tried to save her but.. It's like she didn't want to saved. There are people you just can't hold on to. You can't keep putting out someone's fire when they've got a handful of matches. I know that sounds selfish but it's true." Looking up as if her spirit is dancing on the ceiling "wherever she is I hope she is finally free."
Funny...she would always tell me
"only in death are we free."
