A/N NORMAL LENGTH CHAPTER ARE YOU PROUD
Phil's POV
What does Dan mean by that? That my music taste is weird? He doesn't seem like the kind of person to outright insult you like that. Why would he say that? Is Dan even a he? I have to ask after this.
"What? Dan what are you talking about?" I asked, confused.
"Well the thing is, those are some of my favorites too." Dan replied sheepishly, his blush returning.
"Oh. That's so cool! I forgot to ask when you sat down, what are your pronouns? I use masculine pronouns." I asked.
"Oh. Uhm." Dan paused his blush deepening. "I use masculine pronouns too. Thank you for being so polite and asking."
"You're welcome! It's just a habit I like to keep alive. I mean you never know until you ask." I replied with a grin.
Suddenly I noticed something. I could see color. I've been talking to this boy for, at the most, thirty minutes. Why can I see? And why is he so cute?
His fluffy hair is milk chocolate colored, his eyes shine with a beautiful earthy brown, he has a little dimple when he smiles as well. He was stunning. Instead of Pretty Boy I am going to call him Chocolate Boy. He's not only very sweet but his eyes really make the nickname true.
I don't want to acknowledge that I can see color now! He's already said he has a match! I also have a soulmate. Who stood me up and who I don't really like all that much. But does this justify it? I feel like I'm betraying Iris.
"Hey, Phil." Dan asked, snapping me out of m thoughts.
"Yes?" I reply.
"Do you wanna get out of here? I mean we could go see the shops." Dan said excitedly.
"Yeah, of course! I think the coffee fumes are making me hyperactive, anyways." I say with a smile.
Dan's laugh pierces the air. His laugh isn't a sharp sound. It's very soft, much like his features. But it's loud as well. His laugh reminds me of the rolling hills. It's also, very attractive.
"We could head to Tesco and play a really fun game I know! Trust me, it's great." Dan said, almost laughing at the thought.
"If you're that excited about it, then of course! I can't wait! Onward!" I reply, trying to seem valiant and pointing into the distance. "To Tesco!"
