Riley POV:
"What store do you want to go into first?" Matt asked just like dad.
"Umm.. Forever 21?" I asked remembering I wanted some stuff from there last time when I was in Cali.
"Okay, lets go!" Matt said very energetically.***
****7 hours oh shopping and a zillion bags later*******"Matt can we get my school and other stuff like tomorrow?" l asked very tired.
"No, we have to go now because your dad has stuff planned tomorrow." He said with a yawn.
"Fine, but if I forget anything you have to come back to get it."
"Deal, let's just get out of this mall."
"Can we get taco bell?" I asked as my stomach grumbled.
"I thought you would never ask."We laughed as we walked out of the mall with a billion bags. When we got to the car we put them all in the trunk squishing some to fit.
Once we got it to fit Matt walked around to the passengers side if his car and opened the door for me. How gentlemanly of him. I laughed at myself as I walked to the open door. I curtseyed while say a thank you kind sir to him. He just laughed and walked to his door and getting in.
As we drove to Taco Bell there was a comfortable silence with music playing softly. As we get to Taco Bell I tell Matt what to get me and we got our food while both of us singing along to songs eating.
I was humming along to random pop songs when one my favorite songs comes on. Let It Go by James Bay. I start singing the lyrics while looking out the window.
"From walking home and talking loads
To seeing shows in evening clothes with you
From nervous touch and getting drunk
To staying up and waking up with youBut now we're sleeping at the edge
Holding something we don't need
All this delusion in our heads
Is gonna bring us to our kneesSo come on let it go
Just let it be
Why don't you be you
And I'll be meEverything's that's broke
Leave it to the breeze
Why don't you be you
And I'll be meAnd I'll be me
From throwing clothes across the floor
To teeth and claws and slamming doors at you
If this is all we're living for
Why are we doing it, doing it, doing it anymoreI used to recognize myself
It's funny how reflections change
When we're becoming something else
I think it's time to walk awaySo come on let it go
Just let it be
Why don't you be you
And I'll be meEverything's that's broke
Leave it to the breeze
Why don't you be you
And I'll be meAnd I'll be me
Trying to fit your hand inside of mine
When we know it just don't belong
There's no force on earth
Could make me feel right, noWhoa
Trying to push this problem up the hill
When it's just too heavy to hold
Think now's the time to let it slideSo come on let it go
Just let it be
Why don't you be you
And I'll be meEverything's that's broke
Leave it to the breeze
Let the ashes fall
Forget about meCome on let it go
Just let it be
Why don't you be you
And I'll be meAnd I'll be me"
I finished the song happy I didn't make any mistakes. I look over at Matt and he's just staring at me.
"What?" I ask very confused.
"Nothing, you just have a beautiful voice." He said making me blush slightly.
"Thanks."
After about thirty second or so we pull up to a big outlet mall looking place. It filled with a bunch of stores from clothes and shoes to Walmart and Targets'.
"Why didn't we just go here first?" I'm confused because I could have just gone shopping here.
"Other mall is cheaper for the same stuff." He said after a bit of hesitation.
Okay. I think.
Not like this is a different gangs territory or anything right. Eh whatever.
