The Baddass Gangleader

Chapter 10:

RILEY POV

I was sitting in starbucks playing on my phone when l realize l could call my dad. I grabbed my Pumpkin Spice Laté and headed put of the mall entrance. I saw another little park on the way here so l waked there and got my phone out to call my dad. I was walking over to the swings phone in hand when I saw Alex playing with a little baby. The baby was about 2 or 3 years old. It was so cute I took a few pictures.
   I walked closer leaning on a tree's stump my the play ground admiring him. They were so cute together. I can't help it I love babies and I love guys that play with or get along with or love babies. Just guys plus babies together makes my heart hurt.
I guess I was thinking about it for to long because next thing you know Alex is standing in front of me with the baby in his arms. She looks like she's about to fall asleep.

"Sorry did u say something?" I asked smiling sheepishly.
"Yea, l was asking what you were doing here still. I thought I wouldn't see you until our date." He answered with a smug smile.
"Our date?"
"Yeah, Tomorrow night, dress fancy i'll pick you up."
"Guess i'm going on a date Saturday night." I answered him with a wink and genuine smile.
The baby girl on his shoulder started to regain her energy because the next thing you know she started touching Alexander's face. She was touching his mouth and his was "biting" her fingers making her laugh.
"Princess I want you to meet my friend Riley. Can you say hi Riley?" He said pointing to me.
He picked up her hand and waved saying hi Riley as she said "Hi Riley." But in her cute little baby voice making my heart melt.
She then tucked her head into Alexander's chest covering her face with her hands.
Alexander and I both laughed and l said Hi princess back to her because l didn't know her name.
We were playing with princess till it was almost 5 o'clock and I remembered I still need a ride home. I started wondering where Matt was but I figured he probably would have called me or dad or is still shopping. I guess I should call my dad to have one of the other guys come pick me up.
"Hey i'm going to call my dad to come pick me up I be right back okay?" I told Alex to make he didn't think I just left.
"Hey how about I drive you home after I drop of Brooklynn?" He asked but knew no thanks wasn't an answer.
"Okay." I just smiled.

We gathered all of our belongings and headed to his car him leading the way with a sleeping Brooklyn on his shoulder.
"Hey, why don't I holder and you grab the bags." I said. In all honesty I really just wanted to hold her.
"Are you should?" He asked.
I just smiled and nodded and I set the two bags I had down one being my purse and the other little stuff we got while playing around and went to grab Brooklynn from Alexander's arms. She was already fast asleep so it was easy for me to just grab her and hold her in my arms.
    We finally made it to the car and Alexander put our bags in the trunk and l just waited for Alexander right next to him with Brooklynn in my arms. She looked so peaceful. Alexander took her from my arms and put her in the backseat in her car seat. I went and sat in the passenger's seat and  leaned my head back looking at Alex and Brooklynn. After he buckled her in he kissed her head and came and sat in the driver's seat. I turned my head so l was now facing him and off we went.
  After a few minutes of driving Alex put his hand on my thigh. I didn't really mind it but l did feel kind of uncomfortable. I guess he could tell l was uncomfortable.
  "I promise i'm not going to do anything. Especially with Brooke in the car." He reassured me and that made me more comfortable even though his hand was still there.
   His hand never moved just rubbed circles in my leg which made me eventually fall asleep.
