The image above is what I pictured Cadence's hair to look like.

They followed the river upstream, their logic being that if the water was coming from somewhere, then it would be flowing away from that spot.
So they trekked on. Ben suggested cooling down in the river, but James pointed out that it would just slow them down or waste their energy.
So they just kept moving.
The Grounds were bigger than it seemed to Ben at first. He obviously thought that the whole arena was like where he had spent his time; forest and small streams.
Unknown to him until now, the ground had been separated into four equal terrains.
His had been the earth terrain, one of the most common places for hunters. Earth had less abilities to fight against the hunters than the other elements, making them vulnerable and easy picking.
The other three consist of the water, which was made up of three rivers (splitting into streams around the whole grounds) and rainforests and the fire, which was separated to the water by a wall of flame and was full of... Well, it was pretty much only dead trees and burnt wood.
The fourth was in the middle, not so much a designated terrain, more a combination of the other three, mostly water and earth, and was the home to both the wind and life Elementals.
Eventually, the pair made their way to a large pool, breaching out into all three rivers, starting with five large waterfalls.
If they hadn't been standing in the middle of a hunting ground with the possibility of death around every corner, Ben might have thought it was beautiful.
Next to him, James leant over and started taking his shoes off.
"What are you doing?" Ben asked, although already partially knowing what the answer would be.
James looked up at him like he was stupid.
"We're in water terrain, looking for water Elementals, and we're standing next to the water. Now are you just going to stand there or are you going to help us find us some water Elementals?"
Without a word, Ben bent over and started taking his shoes off too.
A couple of minutes later, they were wading into the middle of the pool, facing the waterfalls.
There was a moment of quiet as the splashing they had made while walking stilled and the waterfalls continued to cascade down, covering the rock walls behind them.
"What now?" Ben asked.
"I have absolutely no idea."
More quiet.
But not for long.
"What was that?"
"What was what?" James asked.
"I thought I heard someth...AHH!" he finished, leaping up in the water.
"What?" said James, both concern and fear evident in his voice.
"Something grabbed my ankle!" he yelled, scanning the waist deep pond for any sign of movement.
"Would you two shut up or would you prefer to be killed?" a new voice said quietly and in an annoyed tone.
Both boys looked up to see a girl, sitting in a hooped vine hanging from one of the tree like a swing six metres above the ground.
She was wearing dark blue skinny jeans and a black t-shirt, which was dull in contrast to her hair.
It was blue. And not like a single blue, almost every shade of light blue Ben knew, starting at the roots with a deep baby blue, at the end almost blonde aqua.
And the strangest part was it looked 100% natural.
"If you could both stop staring, we could actually hide and have the possibility of maybe not getting killed?" she pushed.
Ben finally got a good look at her face. She had deep, bright blue eyes and full, small, red lips and a slender face, her skin fairly pale.
"Did you not just get the hint? Stop staring or die. It's really your choice."
Ben finally snapped out of it. "Sorry," he said, his voice a lot weaker than what he had expected.
The blue girl looked satisfied. "Good. Now let's go."
And she jumped.
"No!" Ben and James cried out at same time as she began to plummet towards the shallow water at the edge of the pool.
But she just smiled and without batting an eyelid, dove into the lake.
James and Ben rushed over, the former in front of the latter.
Suddenly James dropped off, falling into the seemingly shallow water. His hands flew up in the air as he just managed to catch himself on the edge of the hole.
Pushing himself up, he placed his hands out in front of him and began parting the water.
The ditch was at least one metre in diameter and four deep.
"That," James commented, "is a long drop."
"The thing about water," said the girl's voice from behind them, causing them to spin around at the same time, "is that as long as it can fit around something, it can move it. Sand is much easier to move and dispose of than other materials though."
"Who are you?" asked James. It would have sounded rude, but he almost sounded in a trance. Then again, she was very pretty.
She smiled. "The names Cadence. And if you don't want to spend the rest if your days hanging up on some hunters wall as a prize of there hunt, then I would recommend you following me.
She turned and left, heading straight towards the tallest waterfall, leaving the boys with little choice but to follow.
