chapter 1

maias P.O.V

"fuck off mum" i shouted as mum stood at the door yelling at me.

"you have to get up or your gonna be late to school"

"ughhhh" i groaned as she lifted my duvet

i finally got out of bed, i chucked on a black tshirt and some denim shorts before i walked down stairs, i had no time to eat so i just grabbed some money out of mums wallet, then i stormed out the door.

as i arrived to school i had already missed half the period so i didnt bother listening to the teacher and her boring nonsence.

lunch had come around and i walked out the door and up the stairs to my usual spot where me and my three friends sit; Sorraya, Saffron and Kyiah. me and kyiah had been talking about her and this guy she had been dating Luke he was alright but i didnt really like him.

the rest of the day was boring as usual because we had science but i guess me and kyiah always hid in the back room where we sat on our phones showing each other instagram pics and videos, she decided that she needed to get out of the class so we peeped out the door to check if the teacher was looking (luckily she wasnt) then ran out the door as we were running i bumped into this guy who looked like luke but even better looking, he had brown eyes and an eyebrow piercing , he was wearing a black tshirt that had squad #2 on it, as he looked down at me he gave me a cheeky smile so i decided to give him one back, kyiah walked up to me and gave me a bit of a fright "so i see you have met 'jai'' she said in a serious voice,

"hey kyiah" he said annoyingly

"yea i have"

" Kyiah Duncan, Maia Sainty!.... jai brooks?" Mrs Pollock had yelled out.

"shit" i mumbled

"dean now" she demanded

school had finish and hour ago and was sitting in my room looking out my window until i was disrupted by my phone going off

'unknown number': hey its jai, we bumped into each other today. i was wondering if we could catch up some time?

" hey jai, sure that sounds great we will talk about it soon?"

that night i got a call from kyiah asking if i wanted to come over to the brooks house. i agreed and said ill be at yours in half and hour. i put my make up on and a baggy shirt that said 'nirvana' i was wearing denim shorts from that day any way so didnt bother changing. as i climbed out my window knowing my mum was asleep i heard my sister open her window and jump out we both looked at each other then she put her finger to her lips signaling me to not tell mum so i nodded in agreement. i then hopped in my car ad made my way to kyiahs, her parents were out of town with ashelin for her camp they are gone for a week so she is allowed to do whatever.

we pulled up to the brooks and luke came running out when he heard us pull into the drive, he gave kyiah a huge hug then kissed her cheek. we walked in , no sign of jai, he was on my mind from the time i bumped into him at school, as i was thinking about his cute smile he came running down the stairs witch caused me to stare he looked me in the eyes and had a huge grin on his face witch made me blush.

"hey" he said shyly

"hi" i replyed with a cheeky smile

he was so cute
