chapter 2

The bathroom door opened . Ella was shaken up by what had happened.

Violet stepped outside the bathroom in her woollen robe to find an additional person in the dorm room.

Raymond quickly concealed his shock and said
''You didn't tell me , violet that you have a new roommate''
''Must have slipped out of my mind. Anyways Ella this is Raymond and Raymond , Ella '' violet replied .

Raymond stretched his hand in front of him , '' nice to meet you Ella''. She shook his hand '' likewise''.
There was a pause . All of them having something on their mind.
Raymond was shocked
Ella was afraid
And Violet relieved . Relieved about their casual meet.

The silence was broken by Raymond , '' I should get going , its late . Goodnight.'' And then with a tense smile left ,shutting the door softly in the process.

It was about two in the morning. Ella and Violet were fast asleep . Ella suddenly felt uncomfortable she tossed and turned until she could no longer sleep . And then she heard it . She heard it perfectly, clearly . The sound of click, like someone was snapping a picture of her . She jolted awake and cautiously looked around although she could find nothing out of the ordinary . She forced herself to believe that it was her paranoia.

And then after several twists and turns she finally fell asleep

The morning came , Ella woke up at ten thirty to find that Violet was no longer in the room . Enjoying her privacy she got up from bed and made her way to the bathroom . After she was done getting ready she walked to the canteen and got herself a sandwich for breakfast , looking around she realized that she knew nobody here and started making her way outside .
She kept walking and found a place , after sometime which was located at the back of the campus .

There were two trees which were side by side, they were so huge that they covered most of the land with their shade . She was about to sit down but realized she had left her phone in her dorm . So she got up , because breakfast without music does not agrees with her . She started walking , her dorm was not so far away .

When she returned she saw Raymond approaching her , she started moving faster but he caught up. By now they were in the shade of the trees .

''Hey'' he called. She turned , mentally sighed and with a calm and composed voice asked '' Can I help you ?" .

'' Um I know you don't really know me but I've read it and I can't forget it . But I want you to know that I won't tell anyone . I don't want you thinking of me as a bad guy cause you will find plenty of them here and I'm not one of them . ''

A sudden half smile appeared on Ella's face creating a deep dimple on her left cheek .

''Relax what makes you think that I think of you as a bad guy''

He chuckled and just shook his head.

''I see you have found the cool spot''
He doesn't wait for her reply and starts walking but he does not stop beneath the trees and goes to the back of the tree . She follows him and then finds herself in a secluded area , its a small place but offers privacy.
He sits down and motions for her to join him . She sits down
'' Not to be rude or anything but is Violet okay with you and me hanging out?"
He did not expect it . Violet and him were just friends.
'' Violet and I are not dating , we are just friends and besides she has a boyfriend'' she did not miss the tone of disgust in his voice when he mentioned boyfriend.

She just shrugged and unpacked her sandwich from the aluminum foil. She offered it to him but he politely declined . They sat there for a while , when she was eating her breakfast he told her about the university to which she listened intently.

They talked about different things and she realized that she had made a friend , which was enough to make her day.
