A new feeling

I knew I was different when I was in the 4th grade. The new girl in my class was one of my friends, but she was different. When I was with her I felt something I have never felt before. There was a tingling sensation in my stomach whenever I saw her. I never knew until now what that was. Growing up in two homes was difficult because my parents believed in two different things. My dad always tells me to be myself but my mom says that I need to blend in and be the same as others. This new feeling I had with the new girl in my class made me fear what I was, who I was going to be.
