"Lacey, show yourself."

"Why, your sending me to a HS. If you can't see me, you can't make me go. " I say as I head for my window.

"Lacey, please." My little brother says in a soft voice.
I slowly show myself to my family, and sit on my bed. I glare at the suitcase by the door.

"Lacey, I know you don't want to go, but-"

"'Don't want to go' is an understatement. This isn't fair. I HATE HUMANS!"

"Lacey listen-"

"No, you listen. The last thing I want is to befriend humans. After all the robberies and burglaries. I'm basically on every Most Wanted page." I had abruptly stood up.

"Those are just who they think you are. They'll never suspect you. And it was your decision, I couldn't gotten the money myself!"

I hung my head when he made that comment, remembering all the trouble I couldn't gotten in.

"Lacey, I know you've dreaded going, but we have no choice. I can't send Ethan, he's barely 5. Lacey, please."

I stared at my dad, arms folded. I then stared at my little brother who had just reappeared. He vanishes when he's afraid, so basically all the time. His emotion was a mixture of fear, sadness, and pity. I didn't want to let him down. Especially him.

"Fine, but only for Ethan. I could care less about you." I spat at my father.

We've had a rough relationship since my mom passed. For one, it was his fault.

I grabbed my suitcase on my way out the room. When I got downstairs, I grabbed an apple and headed out the door.

This is going to be very crappy.
