After reviving Mary's mate Scott had help me away from him so he could rest. The two packs looked at me.
"You can't live out here while pregnant" the two Luna's said I chuckled looking at them
"I'm not gonna die. I'm the red wolf." I said smiling. Scott didn't look convinced tho. "Is anyone on my side about this" I asked looking at them all. I sighed. "Right. The natural instinct to protect a pup and a pregnant she-wolf" I mumbled. "let me get my stuff" I said before going into my cave getting my bag. I looked at Mary she looked at me than her mate. I looked at the two packs.
"Boys. Your moving Mary's mate too" I said. They nodded. We talked for a bit but didn't know where to go. I sighed lying down on the ground. I closed my eyes and saw flashes of a fight during a storm. I sat up breathing heavy. They all looked at me. I looked at the sky than Cole came to mind. I jumped up running off into the woods. I knocked out a rouge wolf helping Simon out again but continued running on foot. I got home running in they looked at me
"Sarah your not allowed on the lands no more" Cole said
"A war is coming. Next storm. I'm unable to fight than" I said.
"Why?" Ed asked. Scott arrived
"Sarah you shouldn't be running" he said
"Oh calm down it's only day one"
"But your still pregnant. You don't know how fast the baby will grow or if anything you do will hurt our baby" he said than he saw my brothers. I smiled and kissed his cheek
"I'll find you later" I said as he ran off and all five of them chased after him. I got back to my cave and sat down
"Where Scott?" they asked
"Running from my brothers after he told them I was pregnant" I said they laughed Scott arrived he stopped trying to catch his breath. I got up going over to him he smiled at me I chuckled
"Come on" I said he came and sat down. Than the boys appeared I shot a glare and they cowered away from me.
"Sit your asses down now before I chain you all up again" I said smiling they sat down "now behave" I said they nodded. It was quiet for a bit. But I felt a churning in my stomach. Something is wrong. I thought. I got up and went and laid down inside my cave while they started discussing where I could stay that was close to a werewolf delivery room. Cause during some deliveries the she-wolf may become violent and attack her own mate and the doctor. So restrains are required. But due to me being a rouge. No one will allow me on pack lands.
I sighed as midday rolled around. I was laying in the shallow stream cause it was nice and cold. Every now and again pain would wash though my body as or felt like the baby was feeding off me to grow faster. And that's when it clicked. I sat up looking around. Everyone was focused on the plans. Mary tending to her mate still but Cole. He came over to me.
"What's wrong?" he asked
"I know what happened to the previous red wolves" I said.
"How?" he asked.
"Each red wolf disappears a week after being mated right?" I asked. He nodded. "It's the baby. It feeds off the mother to the point of death. And when the baby is finally read the mother goes into the woods. Finds a cave with plenty of food and lays down to die after brith" I said. "The mother is never found cause the baby eats the mother and chews on her bones." I said.
"What happens to the baby tho?"
"I don't know" I whispered. He nodded. "Don't tell anyone Cole. I want the packs to be safe first" I said. He nodded hugging me.
It is getting close to night and it is getting cold but I can't keep my mind of the baby. I already gave a baby bump that no one has noticed. And I'm getting thinner I'll be dead within a week. I thought before I was lifted up and carried to a cottage where it was warm and there was food. I started eating before curling up in front of the fire and going to sleep.
