Chapter 2

Sky ran towards the voices then stopped seeing Roxy, about the age of 11, with a woman, planting seeds in a crop field. Sky heard a loud crack pierce her ears as she turns to see a man chopping wood. A little boy waddles over and picks up the pieces.

"Make sure you don't get blisters because your mother and I wouldn't know what to do," the man says as the boy just simply nods.

"Dad look I found a lady bug!" Roxy yells as she runs to the man holding a little lady bug. Sky looks over at the crop field to see the woman gone.

"That's great! Make a wish," Roxy's dad responds happily. Roxy nods and closes her eyes tightly, concentrating on her wish.

"I got it!" Roxy shouts happily. Sky smiles a bit as Roxy blows as hard she can but the lady bug stays on her hand.

"It's ok sweety sometimes wishes are to just hold on to and never let go," Roxy's dad says sweetly as the little boy runs over and blows the lady bug away.

"I hope my wish comes true!" the little boy yells out happily. Roxy looks at the lady bug fly away as if all her hope just washed down a drain. Roxy begins to cry then her face begins to twist with rage as she turns to the little boy.

"You ruined MY wish!" Roxy yells as furry ears come out of her head. The little boy stumbles back in fear and hides behind the log stump.

"Roxy calm down," The man says as calm as he could. Roxy doesn't listen and runs on all fours at the little boy.

"I don't want to fight you!" the little boy yells as Roxy rams into him as a nine tailed fire fox.

"Well sometimes you gotta fight your own battles!" Roxy yells as she blows fire out of her mouth towards the little boy.

"Roxy don't hurt your little brother!" the woman yells running out of a wooden cabin. Roxy doesn't listen as the little boy turns into a nine tailed water fox.

"You wanna fight!" Roxy shouts as she shoots fire balls. The little boy jumps to the left dodging them swiftly.

"You're going to lose!" the little boy shouts as he shoots water from each of his tails. Sky watched his blue fur not get touched by any droplets of water. Roxy shoots fire out of each of her tails as she the fire collides with the water.

"Stop now!" Roxy's father shouts as he runs towards them but gets blown back by the heat.

"Roxy! Jake! Stop right now!" the woman shouts. That must be the mother! Sky thinks as the fire begins to overpower the water.

"Jake!" Roxy's father shouts out in horror as the fire hits him, breaking the water and getting the lawn wet. Roxy still has a face of rage then runs towards Jake wanting to fight more. Roxy jumps but then her father gets in front of Jake and Roxy looks in horror.

"Look what you did Roxy! He's hurt can't you see!" Roxy's father yells as Roxy's ears go down sadly. Roxy looks behind her father seeing Jake badly hurt.

"I-I didn't mean it......." Roxy says sadly.

"Well you're a monster Roxy! I always knew you were a fiery demon!" Roxy's mother yells as Roxy's eyes fill with tears. Roxy closes her eyes sadly then runs into the forest.

"Roxy!" Roxy's father yells sadly but the mother holds him back.

"She deserves to be hunted. down. Look what she did!" Roxy's mother shouts as the dad pulls away and looks at her in disgust.

"Who are you?! How could you say that about your daughter?! If she gets caught she will be dead and gone forever!" Roxy's father shouts as he storms in the house. The mother tries to speak but looks in shock, realizing the father was right. Sky runs in the direction Roxy went following the foot prints. Sky stops when she hears crying. Sky turns and sees Roxy, walking over to her.

"Why did this have to happen today?" Roxy whispers as Sky sees a boy about Roxy's age appear from behind a tree.

"Are you ok?" the boy asks as he walks over to her. Roxy looks up in horror and flinches away from him as he tries to help her.

"I know what you are....... I won't tell anybody," the boy says comfortingly as Roxy takes his hand, getting on her feet while wiping her tears.

"Nobody has ever done that for me before....." Roxy says and smiles as she hugs the boy.

"My name is Ace, I usually go by Wolf," Ace says as he hugs her back.

"I'm Roxy," Roxy says happily. Roxy smiles then walks a few inches away.

"Wait I want to show you something," Ace says. Roxy turns as the boy takes her hand and puts it over her eyes.

"Keep your hand there until I tell you to move your hand," Ace says. Roxy nods as Ace steps back. Sky watches in amazement as furry ears come out of Ace's head and his hands begin to turn into paws.

"I'm going to look," Roxy says as she pulls her hand away from her face. Roxy looks in amazement as Ace finally turns fully into a wolf.

"You don't need to be afraid anymore," Ace whispers as Roxy turns into a nine tailed fire fox. Sky smiles happily as she watches them play for hours. Sky realizes Roxy looks in the direction of her house as her eyes grow wide with horror.

"I need to go," Roxy calmly says as she runs in the direction of her house.

"Wait!" Ace yells as he follows. Sky watches them both turn into their human forms and run on both of their feet. Roxy tumbles out of the forest then looks up to see her house burning.

"Roxy!" Roxy's father yells from the cabin as he tries breaking the windows. Ace catches up then looks in horror.

"Mom! Dad! Jake!" Roxy screams as she runs to the cabin. Roxy places a hand on the window as her father lines up his hand with hers.

"Please don't leave me!" Roxy shouts as tears stream down her face, "I didn't mean to hurt Jake I love him... He's my brother..... I love you all!"

"Roxy I love you too and so does your mother," Roxy's father yells out thru the window as he switches so Roxy's mom can see her.

"Oh my baby girl I love you so much!" Roxy's mother shouts as she switches back with the father.

"Roxy never share your secret with anyone! Once they find out they will hunt you down!" Roxy's father shouts.

"But dad I ne-" Roxy yells but gets blown back as the cabin blows up. Ace catches Roxy from falling to the ground as men come out from the forest.

"Well that nine tailed fox is taken care of," one of the men says as Ace holds an unconscious Roxy.

"Ace who is that?" a tall man asks the boy.

"It's a girl I found in the woods, she said her family died by woodland people," Ace says as the father nods, picking Roxy up. Sky knew woodland people were cannibals, or something like that. Roxy told her a lot about where she used to live but not about her family.

"We can take care of her," the man says as he carries Roxy away.

Chapter 3

Sky wakes up in a sweat as she sees guardian looking at her, a worried look crossing the kitten's face.

"It's ok Guardian," Sky whispered softly as she looks out the window.

"You look worried," Tristan whispers. Sky looks to her left to see Tristan laying in the bed next to her.

"W-what are you doing here!?" Sky stammers as Tristan chuckles. Sky grabs her assassin coat and jumps out the window. Sky looks in horror as she falls on Roxy.

"Sky! What the heck!?" Roxy shouts in anger as Tristan looks out from the window laughing his butt off.

"It wasn't my fault Tristan scared me!" Sky responds angrily as Tristan jumps from the window.

"I wanted to find out who the father is." Tristan says with a smile.

"O-oh well........... It's you," Sky says awkwardly as Tristan looks in shock.

"I-it can't be!" Tristan shouts and runs off.
