Chapter 1

Okay, I decided to go with this... let's see how this goes.

Today we had the last concert of our tour before we had our break of one year. I was looking forward to this, all of us were. I mean, we love our fans, but we sometimes need some time to rest and relax.

Soon after the concert ended, we all went back to our dorm. We went straight to bed, considering that we have to get up early tomorrow to go to dance practice.

"Come on, just one more time and practice will be over." Our manager told us while we were sitting on the floor, catching our breaths.

"I thought our break was supposed to start already." Jungkook muttered.

"Yeah, but we're supposed to practice every once in a while." Jimin replied after drinking water.

"Let's just get this over with." Jungkook lifted his head from Yoongi's shoulder and stood up.

We went over the choreography for Run again and our manager finally let us out, pleased with how practice went.

"Ahh, we're finally able to have our break." Hoseok let out a sigh when we walked out through the doors.

I turned and looked over at Yoongi. "What are you going to do, Hyung?"

"Sleep. And eat. I was busy so I didn't sleep much last night." He shrugged.

I nodded and looked at Jungkook. "Do you want to play video games when we get back to the dorm, Jungkookie?"

He stared at the ground and shook his head. "No thanks, Hyung. I have other things to do anyway."

Before I could say anything else, he walked ahead of us and walked into the dorm. "Don't worry, Jimin and I will play with you." Hoseok offered. I smiled and nodded at them.

"Ha! I win!" I danced in victory. Gideon and Jimin both scowled at me. "You cheated."

"No, I didn't. You're just a sore loser."

"I want a rematch." Jimin picked up his controller again.

I stretched and looked at the clock, it's 6:40. We've been playing for over five hours. "I'm going to the bathroom, you two go on ahead." I stood up from my spot on the floor and walked towards the stairs.

"Tae, can you check on Jungkook and tell him dinner is almost ready?"

"Sure, Hyung."

After I went to the bathroom, I went to Jungkook's room. I tried to open the door, but it was locked. I frowned and softly knocked on it.

"Jungkook, are you in there?"

There was silence.

I knocked again. "Jungkook, it's me, Tae Tae."

I waited a few more seconds before the door opened. I walked in and saw him put on his hoodie. "Is everything okay?" He tried to walk past me, but I grabbed his arm.

"Where are you going? Jin hyung said that dinner is almost ready."

He sighed and answered curtly. "Out."

Jungkook shook my hand off of him and walked out. By the time I reached the living room, the front door was shut closed.

"Where is he going?" Namjoon asked.

"No idea."

"What's going on?" Yoongi walked down from the stairs.

Jin glanced at him. "Jungkook left and he didn't say why."

"I'm not the only one who has noticed that he's been acting differently, right?"

"Yeah, I've noticed that he's being a bit distant lately."

"I'm worried."

I sighed and shook my head. "I'll go look for him. I'll call you when I find him." I quickly grabbed my jacket and put my shoes on before I left.

I've been looking and calling him for about twenty minutes, but I had no luck. It was starting to get dark now. I called him one more time, but it went straight to voicemail.

"Aish, this maknae."

I picked up the pace and walked down the sidewalk. As I neared the crosswalk, I noticed a familiar figure. When I recognized the hoodie, I knew it was Jungkook.

"Jungkook!"

I called out to him, but he crossed the street with his head down. I assume I was still a bit far away from him, maybe that's why he didn't hear me. I started jogging, trying to catch up to him, when I noticed a car coming towards him and it didn't look like it was going to stop any time soon.

"Jung- Jungkook!" I started to run faster and called out to him. I ran as fast as I could and he started to turn around, but I managed to push him away in time.

But I couldn't say the same for myself.

Right when I pushed him away, I felt a heavy impact on my side. After that, it felt like everything had slowed down.

"Hyung!!"

And that's when everything faded.
