Broken ~ Chapter 3

My heart raced and my hands shook. This was the most terrifying thing I would ever had to do in my life. I got down from my bunk bed and fell onto the floor, I army crawled over to the door and slowly opened it. In my lucky our camp was quickly built and so our cabin was stupidly put next to the exit. I quickly slipped out and hid over in the bushes. I froze when the light was shone in my direction. The security was so up tight that at night a massive spot light was shone around the whole camp keeping things in check, and to stop people like me running away. I was aware of what would happen if I got caught so I remained still. Barely breathing I lay still in the bushes until a familiar voice could be heard. A girl of which I made friends with was standing in the doorway of our cabin.

"I want to go to." She whispered.

My eyes widened, was this girl ready to blow my chances of escaping this place.

"If you dare move a mussel I will come over there and strangle you." I hissed my eyes still looking up at the security tower.

She put a foot out and jumped into the bush with me. The tower saw her sudden movement and started shooting at us. She screamed in pain as I ran behind the cabin.

"Please take me too." She screamed in pain.

I looked at her laying all bloody tears streaming down her face.

"Please save me." She begged.

I put my hands up on the high fence and started climbing.  The spot light shone in my direction and so they aimed and shot in my direction. I was nearly over until a bit of my clothes got caught on the wire.

"Please no." I said under my breath trying to free myself.

But the wire just tangled it more. A whole team came running over shooting up at me. They hit me right on my side and on my right leg.

"Fuck." I screamed in pain freeing myself.

Quickly jumping over the other side I ran as quickly as my legs would take me away. Away from the horrific camp. My shot wound killed bleeding, soaking my clothes. But I didn't let that bother me instead I celebrated my victory. Well savoured it.
